On Tuesday, June 17th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, to host the Top Prospect Games: San Marcos, an invite-only event for the class of 2026-2028.

More than 35 players made their way to Texas State and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports from each infielder in attendance as well as rank the top 5 from the event.

TOP PITCHERS

1. Jamie Chipman, Academy (TX), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/1B RHP projects well physically, will add strength. Long, lanky build. Athletic, with ideal pitchers body. Lots of moving parts to delivery. When on time and in rhythm shows good stuff. Arm works. FB will continue to develop, will throw hard in future. Shows feel to spin baseball, flashes solid action. DNS 3rd pitch. Projects well in future. Follow progress on the mound. Athletic, good body to add strength, shows arm speed now. It's coming. RHH/INF Will develop into steady infielder. Upside to bat/power combo with adjustments. Shows bat speed, with adjustments will have ability to impact baseball.
Body: 6-5, 194 pounds. Long and lanky build, will adds strength. Physically projects well in future for size and added strength.
Delivery: High hands rocker step. High knee lift with inward turn, floats thru balance point. Drop and drive type delivery. Lands with slightly open toe, develop ability to close toe off. Gets quick with front side at times causing arm to drag.
Arm Action: RH. Full circle works well. Shows arm speed, expect arm to increase in future.
FB: T91, 85-91 mph. Velocity coming, will throw hard. FB shows arm side tail. When delivery on time was around zone with stuff. Some carry up in zone. T2233, 2083 average rpm.
SL: 76-78 mph. Short breaker, solid pitch when landed. 3/4 tilt. Avg action at times. T2189, 2015 average rpm.
