On Tuesday, June 17th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, to host the Top Prospect Games: San Marcos, an invite-only event for the class of 2026-2028.

More than 35 players made their way to Texas State and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

We've already posted a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting more of the traditional statistical categories, as well as a Takeaways, highlighting some of the events top performers, while also posting Data Dives for both Pitchers and Position Players.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports from each outfielder and catcher in attendance as well as rank the top 5 from the event.

TOP OUTFIELDERS/CATCHERS

1. Bentley Seeberger, Lubbock Cooper (TX), 2027
Positional Profile: C/OF RHH/C will add strength to solid build. Developing behind the plate, hands work receiving. Shows solid pop times in workout, throws show carry. Doesn't get cheated at plate, aggressive with bat speed. Can firm lower 1/2 use along with swing adjustment to increase contact consistency and impact. Catcher/hitter over pitcher based on my looks. RHP with solid delivery and arm action repeats. FB shows the ability to work up and down in zone. Look for velo to increase. Feel for slider present with short, down action. 2 pitch mix, look of reliever on the mound.
Body: 6-1, 205 pounds. Strong build/frame. Thickness in lower. Strength is present in lower half. Good physical projections.
Hit: RHH. Slightly crouched stance, stride has some length, lands in good position. Rotational back foot, occasionally shows slight linear movement forward, other times just rotational. Does a nice job of using lower 1/2. Can improve with consistency to back foot movements. Hits into firm front side with upright posture. Barrel/hands in good launch position. Length to swing. Would like to see more direct path to hit zone with barrel.
Power: 101 mph max exit velocity (91.3 avg.); 364-foot max batted distance. Project solid bat/power combo in future. Opportunities for adjustments present for both hit approach and swing. Bat speed present, will develop.
Arm: RH. C - 79 mph. Fringe/avg raw arm strength, will be avg in future. Avg accuracy to throws.
Defense: 1.93-2.12 pop time range; Received well in game. Solid hands, moves well. Good target.
Athletic Testing: 7.80 runner in the 60-yard dash; 19.70-inch max vertical jump. Can get faster by having a slight forward tilt when running instead of being upright. Prevent arm swing from coming across body. Will get faster with maturity.
