This summer, the best uncommitted Class of 2027 prospects will head to LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA for the premier Prep Baseball Report Future Games. For the first time ever, the state of California will be bringing two teams: Team NorCal and Team SoCal. For the next three weeks leading up to the event we will be previewing each player that will be putting their talents on display in front of a plethora of college coaches from across the entire country.
Andrew Weber is a 6-foot-2 third baseman and right-handed pitcher from Upland High.
At the Future Games Tryout at Antelope Valley College, Weber shined, earning him the rank of best overall prospect on the day.
At the event, Weber showed his two-way promise, recording impressive metrics both on the mound and at the plate.
In the batter’s box, Weber had a max 98 MPH max exit velocity and a max batted distance of 342 ft.
On the bump, Weber’s fastball topped out at 89 MPH, which was registered as the fourth fastest pitch on the day.
Paired with his heater is a sharp slider, crafty change-up, and a curveball that tops out at 2445 RPM.
When not pitching, Weber slides over to the hot corner, where he displays a strong, accurate arm.
Weber’s overall potential is through the roof with his ability to flourish on both sides of the ball and he will be a fun player to watch for Team SoCal later this month at LakePoint.
“Weber showed off an interesting overall two-way profile with arm strength, solid hands and some present raw power in his offensive profile during the event, but where the right-hander from Upland High shined bright once he toed the rubber as the final arm to throw on the day. Having undergone the entirety of the position player workout on a hot day in the High Desert (temps reached above 100 degrees on the day) he came out firing from the first pitch of his outing against live hitters. With a strong frame that projects to a long term starter profile showing four quality present offerings that can all continue to trend upward the 2027 made an impressive showing in the High Desert.”- Steven Hardesty, Associate Director SoCal
