2025 LOUISIANA FUTURE GAMES POSITION PLAYERS
Koa Romero 3B / RHP / Hahnville, LA / 20275-10, 220-pound sturdy and physical frame with a strong lower-half. Romero had a fantastic sophomore campaign for the Tigers that saw him finish hitting .484 with 8 home runs, 11 doubles, 3 triples, and 31 runs batted in. His hot hitting hasn't stopped this summer either, as he's been one of the top offensive performers on the summer circuit. A left-handed hitter, Romero uses simple movements in the box and stays connected extremely well, keeping a tight & compact turn to contact to deliver a heavy barrel that produces loud results. It'll be really fun to watch him compete in the box next week against the top uncommitted players in the country.

Kaleb Guarisco 1B / OF / Hahnville, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 2
Guarisco was plagued by an early season injury this past spring which caused him to miss some time for Hahnville, but he made up for it in the back-half of the season. He finished his sophomore year hitting at a .390 clip with 3 home runs, 10 doubles, 1 triple, and drove in 26 runs in 82 at-bats. Guarisco is another left-handed hitter with a simple set-up in the box with good rhythm in his hands and minimal pre-pitch movements. His turn is compact and he gets the bat head on-plane with each pitch that he sees, and he can drive the ball to all fields. Guarisco has also shown really good strike zone discipline in our in-game looks at him.

Myles Collins C / Opelousas Catholic, LA / 20276-3, 205-pound physical frame. Collins is part of a talented Louisiana catching group on this year's Future Games Team. The Opelousas Catholic product does an excellent job of receiving pitches, especially the low pitch by sticking it out front with a strong glove hand, and he's also got a good arm from the crouch up to 81 mph. At the plate, he shows pull-side strength with the ability to impact out front that produces exit velocities over 95 mph.
|
Mason Rogillio C / West Feliciana, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 22 / POS: 5
6-2, 215-pound physical and imposing frame. The West Feliciana product had one of the loudest showings at our Top Prospect Games event last month. Using a modified leg lift, he uncoils his lower-half and drops a heavy barrel out front to drive the ball to all fields with exit velocities up to 104 mph, which was a Top Prospect Games event best. Rogillio has shown a real power tool and he's also a solid defender behind the plate as well.
|
Nathan Cervantes C / 3B / Northwood, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 13 / POS: 2
The former Jr. Future Gamer heads back to LakePoint this summer after a really solid showing at our Top Prospect Games event last month. Cervantes looked as good as we've seen him behind the dish and recorded the top positional velocity from the crouch at 82 mph with sub-2.00 pop times on the bag. A switch-hitter, he uses loose wrists and strong hands to whip the bat head through the zone, which produces exit velocities up to 101.9 mph.

Dekohta Jones OF / Live Oak, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 14 / POS: 5
6-0, 185-pound athletic frame with present physicality as well. Jones is one of the better all-around athlete's in the state's '27 class. He's a really good runner, who we had at a 6.62 last month at our Top Prospect Games event, and he's also got a good arm from the outfield up to 88 mph. At the plate, he works from an upright and balanced stance. His path to contact is flat and he stays level through extension while maintaining balance from start to finish, which produces hard line drive contact from gap-to-gap with exit velocities up to 99.2 mph.
|
Ian Smith SS / Archbishop Rummel, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 2
5-11, 175-pound athletic frame. Smith is one of the best defenders on the infield thanks to simple & crisp actions with soft hands. He also has a clean glove-to-hand transfer and quick release with enough arm strength to stick on the left side of the infield. Offensively, Smith starts in a balanced stance and gets his front foot down early during a simple load. He draws his hands back to create a stretch once his front heel hits the ground and he does a good job of using lower-half to create torque to turn the barrel to contact. Smith doesn't get cheated either and has some sneaky gap-to-gap pop that should continue to trend up as he matures and adds strength.
|
Peyton Starr SS / 3B / West Monroe, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 16 / POS: 3
Starr has been one of West Monroe's key contibutors during his first two seasons on campus. He plays much bigger than his 5-9, 170-pound frame would suggest and is like a stick of dynamite on the diamond. Starr coils into his back hip at the plate, before delivering a direct path to contact and level extension with exit velocities up to 97.4 mph. He's also a really versatile defender on the infield and will get to show off that versatility next week at the Future Games.
|
Maddox Domingue SS / Teurlings Catholic, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 37 / POS: 8
Domingue earned an invite to the Future Games after an outstanding weekend for the Acadiana Cajuns at our Louisiana Summer Championships tournament last weekend. The first thing that stood out to us was the physicality and strength that he's gained from a year ago, as he now stands in at 6-1, 205-pounds. The Teurlings Catholic product flies all over the infield making plays and looks extremely comfortable when moving in and throwing on the run. Domingue swung the bat well last weekend too, as he finished 7-for-16 (.438) with a home run, 2 doubles, and 6 runs batted in. He will be a fun follow next week for college recruiters.
|
Cooper Hawkins OF / 1B / St. Thomas More, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 4
6-1, 190-pound physical frame. Hawkins is another guy with a really good set of overall tools that's headed to Georgia with us next week. His set-up at the plate is simple with not a whole lot extra movement, which allows him to see the ball really well. The St. Thomas More product gets his barrel on-plane early which allows him to drive the ball back wherever it came from with exit velocities nearing the triple-digits. He's also a good defender in the outfield with a really good arm up to 90 mph.
|
Kade Luker LHP / 1B / Cedar Creek School, LA / 20276-2, 180-pound frame with present physicality and room to project for more in the future. Luker is one of the top two-way talents in the state and he'll have the chance to show that next week at the Future Games. He's a really good athlete who can cover a lot of ground in the outfield with a strong & accurate arm. At the plate, he works from a slightly open and upright stance with good rhythm in his hands before delivering a direct path to contact with extension through the plane of each pitch. In our lone look at Luker this past spring, he launched a solo home run on the first pitch of the game for Cedar Creek, and finished that game with two hits in total.
|
Barrett Coody 3B / 1B / Rosepine High School, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 19 / POS: 2
Physical 6-0, 215-pound frame and built like a middle-linebacker. For as big as he is, he's also a pretty good athlete that we've had as low as a 7.04 in the 60, and he moves around well on the infield with athletic footwork and solid actions. At the plate, however, is where Coody really shines. He uses a toe-tap load and hits from a slightly wider base before using a strong lower-half to rotate the barrel to contact, which produces loud contact from gap-to-gap with exit velocities up to 101.8 mph.
|
Owen Galley 1B / RHP / Sam Houston, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 1
Galley will likely be sought after for what he can do on the mound, but he's also a really good first baseman and proved that during the Broncos playoff run to a State Title. His defensive and offensive efforts were stellar throughout the state tournament and were a big reason for Sam Houston's success. He went 3-for-4 in the Broncos Game 2 matchup against Live Oak at the state tournament with one of those hits being a walk-off RBI single to right field that sealed the team's 4-3 comeback win. Galley then went 1-for-3 in Game 3 with a RBI single to center field that gave the Broncos some extra cushion and a 4-2 lead heading to the bottom of the 7th. Defensively, he made several outstanding plays at first base during the state tournament that proved to be massive in the overall outcome of the series.
|
Lawton Littleton OF / LHP / Barbe, LA / 2027Littleton is another guy that will draw the majority of his attention as a left-hander that can run his fastball into the low-90s with excellent feel for all of his secondary offerings. The Barbe product will be out to show that he can be an offensive performers as well at next week's Future Games. A left-handed hitter, Littleton is a patient hitter at the plate, has a good understanding of the strike zone, and rarely chases out of the zone. He's got a flat & level swing to contact and through extension, which allows him to hit line drives from gap-to-gap. Littleton also has a good arm from the outfield that should be up over 90 mph and is also a really good athlete that we've had at a sub-7.0 in the 60.
