Prep Baseball KCPI Tournament Preview
July 8, 2025
The best programs from across the region are set to battle it out once again at one of the most unique events in the country. With 20+ high-level programs competing across five age groups — 17/18U, 16U, 15U, 14U, and 13U — this invitation-only tournament isn’t just about who can win a title, it’s about showcasing the strength of an entire organization from top to bottom. With a five-game guarantee for high school levels and four for youth, the question becomes — which program has the deepest roster and strongest culture across every age group? College coaches love this event because it’s one-stop shopping, and program leaders love it because their entire squad is playing in the same area.
Games will be played at Creekside Baseball Park, Homefield Baseball Complex, and surrounding high-quality facilities, all within a short drive from Kansas City International Airport. Nowhere else in the country can you find two fully lit turf complexes with 14 total fields hosting the same event every week, just 15 minutes apart. Creekside features turf infields, cages, bullpens, a hotel on-site, and plenty of amenities, while Homefield boasts eight brand-new turf fields, nearby hotels, restaurants, and Trackman units installed on every field — providing live data on pitch velocity, spin rate, exit velocity, and distance on every swing. Champions will be crowned in each age group — can Nebraska Prospects Scout defend their titles at 15U and 17/18U? Who will emerge as this year’s top overall program?
