South Jersey Young Guns Scout Day: Takeaways

On Wednesday, June 25th, the Prep Baseball New Jersey staff traveled to Campbell's Field in Camden, NJ, for the South Jersey Young Guns Scout Day.
This event is always a great opportunity for us to get our eyes on the talented players within the South Jersey Young Guns organization and this year's showcase proved to be a success.
We wanted to take the time to highlight a number of the standout players from the event in a Takeaways story, found below.
Position Players
OF Mike Baxter (Egg Harbor Township, 2026) currently ranked No. 97 in the state’s 2026 class, Baxter had an impressive performance at the Scout Day. The outfielder ran an event best 6.75 60-yard time, and tossed 78 mph from the outfield, previously up to 82 mph. At the plate, the 6-foot, 160-pound right-hander had a max EV of 94 mph with an average of 86 mph and a max distance of 350’. Baxter is a name to follow from the event.
OF Connor Chester (Audubon, 2027) the 69th ranked prospect in the NJ ‘27 class, Chester has a lanky 6-foot-4, 191-pound frame. In his round of BP, the right-hander stood out with a 95 mph max EV, averaging 83 mph and a max distance of 324’. Chester had the third best OF velocity at 80 mph, previously up to 86 mph. Also, ran a 7.00 60-yard dash at the Scout Day.
MIF Vincent Milillo (Eastern Regional, 2026) flashed athleticism throughout the day, currently ranked No. 146 in the state’s 2026 class. Milillo had the best INF velocity of the event at 86 mph and ran the second best 60-yard time of the event at 6.96. Offensively, peaked his EV at 95 mph with feel for the barrel throughout.
1B Sean Karbach (Eastern Regional, 2026) has a 6-foot-4, 200-pound physical frame, impressed on both sides throughout the day. At the plate, the tall right-hander led the event in max EV at 98 mph, average EV at 92.6 mph, and hard hit percentage at 75%. On defense, the first-basemen had the third hardest INF velocity at 82 mph. Karbach came out as a winner from the event.
OF Chase Bozarth (Audubon, 2026) showed well in his Prep Baseball showcase debut. The 6-foot-3, 165-pound outfielder led all outfielders in velocity at 83 mph. He continued his success in BP, reaching 95 mph EV, and flashed a max distance of 313’. Bozarth is an athletic mover and is a name to watch.
C/INF Alex Muenzenberger (Clearview, 2026) was the top performing catcher from the event, also impressed on the infield as well as BP. Behind the plate, the backstop threw 75 mph from the chute which was the top from the event and had a pop time range of 1.96-2.02. Also, threw 79 mph across the infield. At the plate, had a max EV of 92 mph and flashed some bat speed.
Pitchers
RHP Jack Nicholls (Haddon Heights, 2027) a 6-foot, 165-pound ‘27, had the loudest bullpen of the day, running the fastball above 90 mph. Nicholls worked a four pitch mix, starting with the fastball at 86-90 T91 mph with an average of 15 in. of IVB, a curveball at 74-75 mph with an avg. spin rate of 2158 rpm, changeup at 78-81 mph with an average of 11 in. of HM, and a cutter at 81 mph with an average spin rate of 2112 rpm. Nicholls will be at the Future Games later this month.
RHP Connor Harrison (Delsea, 2026) impressed in front of our staff during his bullpen. The 6-foot-2, 175 pound right-hander had his fastball sitting 85-86 mph throughout his ‘pen, threw a curveball at 71-73 mph with an average spin rate of 2495, and a changeup at 81-82 mph with an average of 14 in. of horizontal movement.
LHP Kyle Harrison (Delsea, 2026) currently ranked 115 in the state’s 2026 class, the 6-foot-2, 160-pound southpaw worked his fastball up to 82 mph with sink, holding velocity throughout. Also, mixed in a curveball at 67-70 mph and a changeup at 76 mph with an average of 18 in. of total movement. Harrison continues to make improvements and impress our staff.
LHP Ryan Walker (Williamstown, 2026) is another southpaw that threw well at the event. Walker is 5-foot-11, 165-pounds with high spin on his pitches. The fastball sits 80-81 T82 mph with an average spin rate of 2323 rpm, curveball at 69-71 mph with an average spin rate of 2760 rpm, and changeup at 75-76 mph with an avg. of -17 in. of horizontal movement.
