As we continue through the summer showcase season, Prep Baseball Washington features an Uncommitted Spotlight, where we highlight standout performers that attended a Prep Baseball Preseason ID event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. This week, we spotlight '26 C Joshua Perez. The junior out of Sammamish High School was most recently seen at PNW Preseason All-State this winter.
A 6'1, 190 pound prospect, Perez had a great showcase start to finish, posting exit velocities into the low 90's and logging an incredible 1.85 second pop time. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including scouting reports and video from the event.
