On August 5th, we hosted more than fifty players from VA/DC and a few other states for the annual Unsigned Senior Games. Today we take a look at some of the Top Performers that stood out to our staff. We are highlighting some of that performance with video and a few notes on their day.
Maxwell Baedke SS / 2B / Atlee, VA / 2026Baedke had a really solid year in his first real taste of varsity baseball. He started at short for the 2024 State Champion Atlee Raiders, hitting over .300 on the season. Baedke has slightly above average arm strength, hands work, and is an accurate thrower. He showcase some of his defensive ability at USG. Contact driven swing and approach that works mostly gap to gap with some occasional doubles. He is reliable in the middle, has solid bat to ball skills, and is potentially best suited at second base at the next level.

Caden Cinnamond RHP / 1B / Great Bridge High, VA / 2026Strong and physical 6-foot-2, 220-pound frame. Full arm swing and works from a three quarter arm slot, living in the mid-upper 80's with the fastball. Showed some feel for the zone with the secondary, while still needing to clean up the consistency of the shape. More reliever profile.

Colin Francis 1B / PDG Academy, VA / 2026Had a really good year for SJC in some tough spots. Was called on his fair share in pinch hit opportunities and delivered more times than not. You could see flashes of the offensive upside and power potential on display during USG. Ambushed an early count offering in his first AB and sent one way over the centerfield fence. Certainly some quirkiness to the setup and operation, but it works. Some people look for the pretty, some look for the producers, and he has flat out produced. 1B/DH profile and has simply shown the ability to produce power and be a run production type of bat.

Andrew Griffin OF / 2B / Great Bridge, VA / 2026Athletic, versatile, and quick hands. Griffin is a serviceable infielder, while displaying more upside in the outfield. Right handed bat with above average hand speed and has some lean strength. Square stance, hands load slightly lower, and there are minimal moving parts in the swing. Some contact skills, and while the offense has been streaky at times, it shows some explosiveness and above average impact for the frame. 6.86 runner.

Cash Harrington RHP / 3B / lakeland high school suffolk va, VA / 2026Strong and proportional 6-foot-2 frame. Normal effort delivery, medium length on the arm swing, and a whippy three-quarter arm. The slider is on the firmer side, sitting in the upper 70's, while the breaking ball is low-mid 70's and tended to back up with more gradual shape. The fastball sat 86-87 T88 and had some run back when working to the glove side. The fastball had some carry, getting up to 21.7" IVB, but could play even better with improved spin efficiency. Intriguing arm that works well and shows probably the combo of present ability and best upside of any arm at the event.

Dylan Herr RHP / SS / Lightridge High School, VA / 2026Lean and athletic frame. Arm strength across the infield and showed some hit tool in game. Had multiple in game hits. Did a nice job shrinking and keeping the hands inside for a hit into left field, and that hit followed up an earlier double into right center. Long thought of as an arm first, the positional has certainly crept into the conversation.

Banks Holman OF / OF / West Potomac High, VA / 2026Best runner at the event, and one of the best remaining runners in the VA/DC 2026 class. Left handed stroke that is more bat to ball/contact driven. Wider base, toe tap to stride, and a level path with medium length. The setup and path is built more for line drives and groundballs, allowing him to showcase his high end run tool. Gets out of the box extremely well and can certainly stretch an extra base. Strength is lighter and more of a lean strength. The impact should continue to get better with improved physicality added. Profiles more center/left field at the next level.

Jack Jenkins 1B / RHP / St. John's College , MD / 2026Some of the best secondary mix and usage on the day. While the velo was light, he threw a bigger 12/6 curveball for strikes and threw what was certainly the best changeup of the day. While I am not always in the R/R changeup boat, it is because the location and timing of the usage usually do not make sense. This was not the case with Jenkins. Threw it early, threw it late, used it to keep hitters off the fastball, and got it under the hands of right handed hitters. Was a really solid outing for the St. John's product.

Brennen Macheras LHP / OF / Amherst County High, VA / 20266-foot-4 longer and thinner frame. Some gap in the floor and ceiling here, as strikes were an issue in spurts, but it was a pretty easy 86-88 from the left side. Just watching, it was a normal effort delivery, built up arm speed, and with the simplicity of everything, it seemed lighter than 86-88. Think there is some future velo there, more than the present 86-88. Maintained arm speed on his breaking balls, with the slider offering the most upside right now. Definitely an intriguing arm, that with some polish, could be a really solid arm at the next level.

Max McEwen 1B / 3B / Western Branch High, VA / 2026Third best exit on the day and was another one that had a loud homerun in game. 100.6 off the bat in BP and seems to be more line drive and natural loft than forced. Close hand setup, solid balance, and stays in a tight window on the turn. Firm front side and head stays behind contact. Starts and finishes in a good position. Compact frame and is pretty strong in that frame. More 1B/DH at the next level, but has the chance to be an impact bat.
Grant Meyers C / 3B / MIDLOTHIAN HIGH, VA / 2026One of the better all around defenders on the day. Showed some solid catch and throw ability behind the plate. Average arm strength and has a clean exchange to release. Was on the bag in game. Also delivered at the plate where he came up with a backside homerun. Has some looseness to his pre-pitch actions and natural loft to the path. Above average hand and bat speed, rotates above average, and has more average raw strength that plays best gap to gap.
Corey Overmeyer 3B / RHP / Grafton High, VA / 2026Just as intriguing as the first day we saw Overmeyer. Solid athlete for his size, strength in actions, and has upside on both sides of the ball. Long and lean 6-foot-5 with raw arm strength and raw power potential at the plate. Uphill longer path and above average raw power at the plate. Produced some swings that were towering shots, like the 400' blast and his 100.8 mph EV. Also led all hitters in hard hit percentage (90%). On the mound it is still throw > pitch and control > command, but when he gets it going, it can be pretty solid. First inning part of his inning he saw some traffic, but once he settled in, he took over at bats. Up to 88 and displayed his bigger upper 60's curveball, which he has a fairly solid feel for. Not sure where the future lies, in terms of position or arm, but there is certainly ceiling to his game on both sides.

Coby Southworth LHP / 1B / Caroline High, VA / 2026Like Jenkins, it was not loud stuff, but was the best arm of the day in terms of production. Threw three pitches for strikes, forced action, and got some uncomfortable swings. Saw him once or twice during the high school season and it was more of the same. Is not going to overpower hitters, but is not going to beat himself either. Normal effort delivery, hands break in rhythm, open lander, and repeats his actions. He used any pitch in just about any count and rolled through his two innings with minimal stress.

Reggie Thomas II OF / 3B / PDG Academy, VA / 2026One that has continued to show significant jumps, especially at the plate. Average run and average arm strength. Defensively more suited for left or potentially center. The offense is where he separates himself from others. Slightly above average hand speed and does a really nice job matching and staying on pitch planes. Solid bat to ball skills with some sneaky impact from gap to gap. Quiet setup with hands preset back and a flatter path through the zone. Backspins it well to the middle of the field. Compact frame with functional strength that translates well into his game.
Chaz Walker OF / 1B / bishop o'connnell, VA / 2026Solid 6-foot-1 frame with proportional strength at 200-pounds. More corner outfield than center, but more than held his own when there. Starts slightly narrow and upright, medium lift, and gets it down on time. Delivers a level path barrel through the zone and works more gap to gap with the swing. Thought the operation had some moving parts in BP, but was quieter and handled himself well in game. Average run and arm strength plays a little more to left than right.
