2025 OKC Summer ID: Quick Hits


Prep Baseball Oklahoma Staff

Prep Baseball Oklahoma hosted the OKC Summer ID at the University of Central Oklahoma on Tuesday, July 1st featuring players from the 2026 to 2029 classes. This event featured a pro-style workout with BP, defensive evaluations, laser timed 60 yard dashes, and bullpens. The event was tracked with data from our tech partners Trackman, Blast Motion, and Vald.

Today we take a look at some of the top performers from the event with quick notes and videos on players with a strong showing.

QUICK HITS

OF Michael McGrew (Edmond Memorial, 2027) stood out at UCO with a combination of power and speed that can consistently pressure defenses. The right handed hitting outfielder turned in a 6.86 60  and backed it up with loud metrics at the plate, including a 95.5 mph max exit velocity and an impressive 23.6g of rotational acceleration. In the outfield, he was comfortable working downhill with an accurate throwing arm. With his blend of speed and power, McGrew is an interesting name to know in the 26 class for schools at the next level.

Michael McGrew

1B Titus Hawk (Choctaw, 2027) flashed his massive upside throughout the OKC Summer ID. The long-levered first baseman turned in a solid 7.11 60 despite the 6’5” frame. He also showed present strength at the plate with a 94.6 mph max exit velocity, paired with an impressive 14.9g of rotational acceleration. Hawk consistently found the barrel during BP, showing the ability to stay in the zone for an extended period with developing power to all fields. With a strong blend of athleticism and upside, the two sport prospect remains one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2027 class.

Titus Hawk

RHP Wyatt Pendergraph (Blanchard, 2027) further showcased his consistent upside, and upside, throughout the OKC Summer ID at UCO. On the mound, the right-hander ran his fastball up to 88.9 mph with life and comfort working to all parts of the zone. The slider worked into the upper 70s and paired with an armside fading changeup to attack left handed hitters. Offensively, Pendergraph posted a 93.2 mph max exit velocity and 18.4g of rotational acceleration, flashing similar power upside to what he has shown on the mound. With his two-way ability and feel to pitch, Pendergraph is a name to know and quick riser in the 2027 class.

RHP/INF Boston Baker (Canute, 2028) flashed significant upside and strong two-way potential throughout the OKC Summer ID at Central Oklahoma. Defensively, Baker showed off big arm strength with throws up to 91 mph from the outfield and 90 mph across the infield, highlighting his positional versatility. At the plate, the left handed hitter posted a 93 mph max exit velocity, showing the ability to use the entire yard. On the mound, the right-hander arguably shined where his ceiling could be the highest as he ran his fastball up to 87.7 mph, mixing in a 69-71 mph curveball and a 74-76 mph changeup with armside fade to complete a polished three-pitch arsenal. The rising sophomore showed a skillset that is a must follow, on both sides of the ball, as we head into the fall season.

Boston Baker

C/OF Asher Ersland (Edmond Memorial, 2028) showcased his well-rounded skill set at UCO with intriguing athleticism from the catching position. He impressed behind the plate with a 2.04 pop time flashing an accurate arm. Offensively, Ersland registered a 91.9 mph max exit velocity, consistently finding the barrel during BP. He also turned in a 6.95 60, further highlighting his ability to defend multiple positions as shown in the outfield. His versatility, athleticism, and upside with feel delivering the barrel will make him an exciting follow in the 2028 class.

C/RHP Braylon Nance (Kellyville, 2028) flashed legitimate 2-way ability at UCO on 7/1. Behind the plate, Nance showcased advanced arm talent with a 1.94 pop time. Offensively, the left handed hitting backstop showed strength at contact with a 91.6 mph max exit velocity and showing developing power to all fields. He wrapped up his day on the mound, working up to 88 mph with the fastball and showing feel for both a 72-73 mph slider and a 76-78 mph armside changeup. Nance’s all-around game continues to trend upward as he emerges as a high-follow in Oklahoma’s 2028 class.

Braylon Nance

C Nixon Baker (Canute, 2029) showed a strong foundational skillset behind the plate and in the box at the OKC ID. Defensively, Baker turned in a 2.06 pop time with a strong, accurate throwing arm. Offensively, the right handed hitting backstop drove balls from alley to alley and worked up to an exit velocity of 91.2 mph. Baker also turned in a 7.39 60-yard dash showing athleticism for the 6’1” 210 pound frame. Baker will be a name to continue following in the 2029 class as he continues to develop.

Nixon Baker

C Isaac Smith (Oklahoma Chirstian Academy, 2026) showed a solid skillset with middle of the order upside. The turned in a 2.02 pop time showing an accurate throwing arm. At the plate, Smith produced a peak exit velocity of 90.9 mph with 13.4g of rotational acceleration, indicating the ability to produce force efficiently as he worked gap to gap. The 2026 backstop is a physical target for his battery mate and should be a name to know for schools at the next level.

Isaac Smith

INF Brady Holliday (Stillwater, 2027) showcased some of the most advanced and polished actions on the infield throughout the OKC Summer ID. Offensively, the switch hitter consistently found the barrel with a 62% sweet spot rate and posted a max exit velocity of 90.8 mph while leaning into his skillset spraying line drives all over the yard. The 2027 prospect consistently flashes his high IQ on the field with the ability to hit at the top of the order and defend multiple spots on the infield. He is a name to know for schools at the next level and will continue to develop at a high level.

Brady Holliday

C/RHP Joseph Haney (Community Christian, 2026) showed 2-way upside from a strong physical frame at UCO on 7/1. Behind the plate, he showed the present arm talent, logging a 1.94 pop time with 78 mph velocity out of the crouch. On the mound, the right-hander featured an 86.3 mph fastball complemented by a 75–76 mph slider and an effective armside changeup that has the makings of becoming a plus pitch. Haney’s ability to contribute on both sides makes him an intriguing follow in the 2026 class.

Joseph Haney

LHP Blake Cook (Ada, 2027) showed polish and pitchability throughout his bullpen at UCO while also offering strong upside. The left hander featured an 84.6 mph fastball with solid feel for the zone, and the ability to command it to both sides of the dish. He also mixed in a 71–73 mph curveball with depth and consistent shape. He rounded out his mix with a fading 78–79 mph changeup. Cook’s ability to command three pitches and a lean developing frame makes him an exciting follow in the 2027 class with much more to come in the future.

Blake Cook

INF/RHP Derek Hamon (Mangum, 2028) flashed exciting 2-way upside with clean actions from a developing frame at the OKC Summer ID. He turned in a 7.19 in the 60 and posted an 84.1 mph exit velocity at the plate, showing athleticism throughout the day. On the mound, Hamon ran his fastball up to 82.3 mph, mixing in a high-spin breaking ball that he consistently landed in the zone, and a 72–74 mph changeup that showed solid arm-side action. The 2028 is an exciting prospect with a ceiling and upside that is still far in the future.

Derek Hamon

INF/RHP Hunter Hargis (Weatherford, 2028) showcased 2-way upside from an intriguing long and developing frame. He ran a 7.37 60 and used his athleticism to work up to 79 mph across the infield. Offensively, Hargis flashed strength at the plate with an 85.5 mph max exit velocity using his long levers to drive balls to the gaps. He capped off his day on the mound, working his fastball up to 81.5 mph while landing a slider as well. The 2028 showed athleticism from an exciting frame and will be a name to continue following.

Hunter Hargis

OF Ethan Workman (Moore, 2026) showed the ability to pressure defenses and impact games with his skillset at the OKC Summer ID. The left handed hitting outfielder showcased athleticism with a 6.96 60 and showed an accurate throwing arm from the outfield. At the plate, Workman worked up to an 88.9 mph max exit velocity and 17.6g of rotational acceleration, consistently finding barrels and showing pull-side power throughout his round. With his balanced skill set and physical tools, Workman remains a name to follow in the 2026 class as a prospect that can impact winning teams in a variety of ways.

Ethan Workman

1B/LHP Dallas Darrow (Enid, 2026) flashed exciting upside and athleticism from a long and lean frame. The 6’5”, right handed hitting first baseman ran a 7.23 60 and showed sound actions during defensive work. Offensively, Darrow impressed with his ability to stay on the barrel, posting an 88.8 mph max exit velocity and an advanced 86% on-plane efficiency, allowing for consistent line-drive contact throughout his round to both gaps. He continues to be a name to follow, as Darrow continues developing  as a middle of the order presence and is a name for schools at the next level to continue following.
