On Tuesday, July 10th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Willis High School in Willis, TX, to host the North Houston Summer ID, an open event for the class of 2026-2028.

20 players made their way to Willis High School and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports from each player in attendance as well as rank the top 5 overall prospects from the event.

TOP OVERALL PROSPECTS

1. Myles Lewis, Summer Creek (TX), 2026
Positional Profile: 1B LHH/INF solid build, can add strength for good baseball build. Plus runner. Upside to bat/power combo, shows ability to impact baseball. Opportunities for adjustments to improve impact in future. Will be steady defensive player.
Body: 6-2, 194 pounds. Solid build, width to shoulders and back. Good build/frame to add strength.
Hit: LHH. Lands in good position to hit after stride. Does a decent job of using lower 1/2 even though back foot rotation gets stuck or is late at times. Work to develop consistent ability foot rotated and foot on time. Does a good job hitting into firm front side. Barrel/hands in good position to launch. Takes good path to hit zone with hands and barrel. Good bat speed present. 70.3 mph bat speed with 12g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 103 mph max exit velocity (93.5 avg.); 372-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 74.00 mph. Arm works. Footwork setting to throw can be improved, follow throw with feet. Recommend long toss program to increase arm speed. When moving off bag and making throw to 2nd, work to firm ability to throw from angles.
Defense: Feet work fine moving to baseball. Shows developing ability to play thru fielding process. Firm ability to get hands out front fielding by hinging at waist and hips.
Athletic Testing: 6.92 runner in the 60-yard dash; 19.30-inch max vertical jump. Solid start with good stride length, shows some foot speed. Last 30 yards, upright runner, would like to see more lean forward with head and shoulders thru entire 60. Fringe plus runner now.
