Winners
+ ‘26 RHP Jake Mazzier (Gibson Southern) was the biggest winner on the mound. The uncommitted right-hander features an athletic 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame with room to add strength. His athleticism and arm speed immediately stood out, and he showed the best stuff of the day. Mazzier sat 87–89.8 mph with the fastball, which played with life through the zone. His best pitch was a quality 75–76 mph slider with sweep, profiling as a future swing-and-miss pitch. He also mixed in a low-80s changeup with fading action and flashed a mid-80s sinker, as well. The delivery is clean and athletic — he works to a moderate balance point before an aggressive move down the mound. The arm is uninterrupted and quick to a ¾ slot. Shortly after the event, Mazzier earned an invitation to the Prep Baseball Future Games, where he'll represent Team Midwest.

+ ‘26 3B/OF Liam Smith (Bloomington North) passes the eye test right away with a long, athletic 6-foot-5, 190-pound frame that offers plenty of projection. The uncommitted right-handed hitter showcased pull-side strength during BP, reaching a 100.7 mph max exit velocity and averaging 90.4, with a max distance of 389 feet. Smith hits from a tall, athletic setup with a short, controlled forward move. The swing is loose and works uphill with strength at contact, pointing to big power potential as he continues to mature. Defensively, he showed steady footwork, solid hands, and an average arm across the diamond (83 mph). There’s some rawness to the overall game, but the long-levered frame and solid tools make him a quality upside follow in Indiana's '26 class.

+ ‘27 RHP John Knight (Chesterton) tossed a well-executed bullpen during the pitching portion. The lean, athletic 6-foot, 160-pound right-hander showed a clean delivery with plenty of room to add strength. Knight worked with pace to a tall balance point and an inward turn before an athletic move down the slope. The arm action is loose to a ¾ slot, and he showed three solid offerings. The fastball sat 82–84 mph with occasional arm-side run. His best secondary was a sweeping 72–74 mph slider (-16.8" HM) that spun in the 2400+ RPM range. He also flashed a solid 80–81 mph changeup with fading action. The delivery, strike-throwing ability, and feel for spin stood-out most for the young right-hander.

+ '28 OF Leon Torres (Andrean) stood-out in batting practice. He looks the part in the box with his projectable, 6-foot-2, 175 pound frame. Torres hits from a tall, open stance before a controlled move forward with a hover type stride. The left-handed swing is fluid and is on-plane throughout. He reached a peak exit velocity of 94.3 and averaged 85.1 mph with a max distance of 332 feet. The arm was average (81) from the outfield and the run tool is still developing.

+ ‘26 P/3B Landon Garrett (Kouts) turned in a solid showing on both sides of the ball. The high-waisted, 6-foot-2, 185-pounder had a consistent round of BP, averaging 86.8 mph off the bat with a peak exit velocity of 94.5 mph. On the mound, Garrett showed feel for a three-pitch mix. The fastball sat 83–85.6 mph with some carry through the zone. He spun a sweeping slider in the 2300+ RPM range and also flashed a usable changeup with fading action. There’s some effort in the delivery, but he works to an athletic balance point before a simple move down the slope. The arm action is quick and clean on the backside.
