Clearwater Summer ID: Quick Hits

The Clearwater Summer ID took place on Tuesday, July 15, at Jack Russell Stadium in Clearwater, FL. The event featured players from the 2026-2029 classes participating in a pro-style workout, followed by bullpens in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.

Chase Brady C / OF / Calvary Christian, FL / 2027Second look at Brady this summer. Lean frame but starting to add physicality. Soft hands receiving and moves well behind the plate, 1.96 pop times. Offensively works gap to gap at 94 EV.

Brock Byrne 1B / OF / EAST LAKE HIGH SCHOOL, FL / 2026Byrne has gotten more physical over the last year and it shows in his offensive game. Led the event with a 98.7 max EV. Pull-side power potential. Above average arm defensively up to 89 from the OF.

Nick Franklin OF / 3B / NORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, FL / 2027Franklin has raw tools and showcased them on Tuesday. Ran a 6.80 60 and jumped 27.4 inches, showing premier athleticism. Offensively, drove the gaps at 95.4 mph, showing potential for power at the next level.

Landon Green RHP / OF / Northside Christian, FL / 2027Green is one of the premier arms in the 2027 class, and he showed that Tuesday. Fastball up to 94 and not one pitch under 91. Slider continues to develop, and he landed the changeup for strikes. Power fastball will continue to be what sets Green apart.

Preston Hamelynck SS / RHP / Northside Christian, FL / 2028Hamelynck looked good all over the field Tuesday. Athleticism at short, strong arm both from shortstop and the outfield. Line drives offensively with an EV of 94.3.

JD James OF / RHP / Cardinal Mooney, FL / 2027JD James showed off what he does best and that's finding barrels. Consistent hard line drives, especially to the pull-side at 95.8 mph. His arm looked strong as well with throws up to 89 from the outfield.

Beau LeCain OF / LHP / Clearwater Central Catholic, FL / 2027LeCain impressed with a gap-to-gap approach where he showed an accurate barrel and some power potential. His 97.8 max EV was third at the event. He also showed an above-average arm in the outfield from the left side.

Yirvin Medina SS / 2B / Boca Ciega, FL / 2027Athletic middle infielder has soft hands at short and showed lateral range and quick feet. Offensively, he's got a line drive approach working up the middle and pull-side with a 95 EV.

Jameson Moan C / Northside Christian, FL / 2027Second look at Moan this summer and the catch and throw from behind the plate really stands out. 1.84 pop time with accuracy to the bag. Offensively, shows power potential to both gaps with an EV of 97.4

Evan Poznanski SS / 3B / Sarasota Christian School, FL / 2027Physical middle-infielder showed tools on both sides of the ball. Easy mover in the infield with soft hands. Showed some juice offensively driving the ball at 97 EV, showing potential for power with continued added physicality.

Britton Wise OF / RHP / Mount Dora Christian Academy, FL / 2027Second look at Wise this summer. Physical athlete ran a 6.92 60. Offensively he drives the ball gap to gap with consistent line drive contact. Second highest EV at 98.5 mph. Above average arm in the outfield at 90 mph.
