2025 Oklahoma Rising Stars Games: Quick Hits

Prep Baseball Oklahoma hosted the Rising Stars Games at Oklahoma State on Wednesday, June 11th featuring players from the 2029 to 2030 classes. This event featured a pro-style workout with BP, defensive evaluations, laser timed 60 yard dashes, and bullpens. The event was tracked with data from our tech partners Trackman, Blast Motion, and Vald.
Today we take a look at some of the top performers from the event with quick notes and videos on players with a strong showing.

QUICK HITS
INF/RHP Camden Brumbaugh (Edmond Santa Fe; 2029) showcased his well-rounded skill set at the Oklahoma Rising Stars Games. On the mound, he turned heads with an 83.5 mph fastball—the top mark in the event—which he paired with secondary offerings that he also landed in the zone. Defensively, Brumbaugh flashed 81 mph across the infield with clean mechanics and comfort working through the baseball. Offensively, the lefthanded hitter hit a 96 mph max exit velocity during BP—second-best for the event—and displayed advanced feel at the plate that included an inside the park HR in game play. With his blend of arm strength, bat speed, and two-way upside, Brumbaugh emerged as one of the top young prospects in his class.

INF/RHP Alec Arredondo (Edmond Santa Fe; 2029) turned in a standout performance at the Oklahoma Rising Stars Games, showcasing 2-way upside. Defensively, he reached 81 mph across the infield putting him near the top of the class. On the mound, Arredondo showed present arm strength with an 83 mph fastball, and included offspeed pitches to keep hitters off balance. At the plate, the right-handed hitter worked through the middle of the field and showed a consistent gap to gap approach. The 2-way prospect showed the ability to impact games on both sides of the ball and will be an exciting follow for the 2029 class.
INF/RHP Koda Fish (Yukon; 2030) stood out at the Oklahoma Rising Stars Games with a well-rounded, multi-position performance. Offensively, Fish posted a 79.2 mph max exit velocity in TrackMan BP and a 77.2 mph average, showcasing consistent contact and feel for the barrel as he delivered balls from alley to alley. His athleticism was present throughout, running a 7.09 60 and showed smooth, clean actions on the infield and worked up to 80 mph across. On the mound, he attacked hitters with his entire mix while also displaying advanced feel and spin. Fish's blend of two-way ability, defensive versatility, and emerging tools will make him an exciting follow in the 2030 class.
INF/RHP Logan Hollingsworth (Choctaw; 2029) put together a polished and balanced showing at the Oklahoma Rising Stars Games. He turned in a 7.18 60 and posted an 86.8 mph max exit velocity with a 78 mph average during BP delivering consistent line drives to the entire yard. Defensively, Hollingsworth showed reliable actions at shortstop and reached 80 mph across the infield. From the mound, he mixed a fastball that topped out at 81.8 mph and averaged 2,074 rpm in spin with a breaking ball and changeup. Logan's blend of athleticism, present tools, and room to continue developing make him an exciting follow in the 2029 class.

INF/OF Manny Botone (Anadarko; 2029) flashed a solid current skillset along with plenty of future upside at the Oklahoma Rising Stars Games, flashing two-way versatility. The athletic right handed hitter posted an 85.8 mph max exit velocity and showed the ability to stay in the zone for an extended period. In the field, Botone showcased arm strength and flexibility, reaching 83 mph from the outfield and 79 mph across the infield as he showed defensive versatility. A physical player with present strength, Botone is a name to know as he continues to physically mature and develop.
OF/INF Grant Serfoss (Clinton; 2029) turned in a polished showing at the Oklahoma Rising Stars Games, flashing a blend of athleticism and maturity to work through the middle of the field. Offensively, the 7.14 60 showed tools to run, but also showed a mature gap to gap approach that would highlight the speed on the field. Defensively, he showed versatility with the ability to receive the ball out front on the infield while also working downhill and throwing with good carry from the outfield. Serfoss is a sure name to follow in the 2029 class as he continues to develop.
INF/RHP Traber Jones (Dewar; 2029) showcased his 2-way upside at the 2025 Oklahoma Rising Stars Games, cementing himself as an exciting prospect in the class. A physical presence, he turned in an impressive 7.3 60 to highlight his athleticism combined with an 86.9 mph Exit Velocity. On the mound, his entire mix showed the ability to stay off the barrel with his fastball working into the low 80s as well as advanced feel for secondary offerings. Already flashing present tools, Jones will be a name to know as he continues to further mature and develop.
INF/RHP Steel Lowery (Edmond Memorial; 2029) flashed a balanced skillset throughout the day at the Oklahoma Rising Stars Games. The Edmond Memorial product impressed with strong actions, flashing present arm strength up to 76 mph across the infield. On the mound, Lowery was consistently missing bats with an upper 70s fastball and two distinct breaking balls. He kept hitters off balance throughout the outing. Lowery is a name to know as he continues to mature and the advanced feel will help him to continue to develop in all areas.
C/INF Ayden Burns (Choctaw; 2029) is an imposing backstop that put various loud tools on display. The physical backstop put up a 95 mph max exit velocity along with an 89.7 mph average with loud contact to all fields. Behind the plate, the 2.05-2.15 pop times also placed him amongst the leaders of the Rising Stars Games. Burns will continue to be a name to follow as an emerging backstop, plenty of present strength, and room to continue developing.

Ayden Burns
C/OF Nash Denove (Metro Christian; 2029) showcased his multifaceted ability at the Oklahoma Rising Stars Games. He recorded a 1.98–2.11 pop time, with an accurate 72 mph outfield arm and a 71 mph arm from the crouch behind the plate. Offensively, the right-handed hitter displayed encouraging offensive metrics, reaching a max exit velocity of 82.1 mph with feel for delivering the barrel. On the mound, Denove worked a 74.9 mph fastball, curveball, and slider, demonstrating early pitchability and feel for a three-pitch mix. With his athleticism, two-way skills, and advancing metrics, Denove showed plenty of upside to continue following in the 2029 class.
C Tyson Stubenhofer (Deer Creek; 2029) showcased a mature profile as a strong, left handed hitting catcher. Flashing a good feel for receiving the baseball and working below it, he consistently proved to be a strong battery mate for pitchers. At the plate, the left handed hitter showed extra base hit potential driving balls from alley to alley as he was in the zone for an extended period of time. The easy offensive move, consistency in the batted ball profile, and room for future development will make him an exciting follow for the 2029 class.
C/INF Gavin Keplinger (MacArthur; 2029) showed the tools to defend at a high level while also proving defensive versatility as a strong athlete. The backstop turned in pop times ranging from 2.12-2.18 with good feet and athleticism while also showing the ability to provide sure-handed defense on the infield. Further, the 7.22 60 time was joined with a mature approach offensively working through the middle of the yard with an 83 mph Exit Velocity. Keplinger is an intriguing name to know bringing athleticism to the catching position with room for future development.
INF/C Jace Larman (Choctaw; 2029) provided defensive versatility as well as developing power. Offensively, he drove balls from alley to alley with an 88 mph max Exit Velocity and consistently worked through the middle of the field. Defensively, Larman worked on the infield and at catcher and showed the ability to defend both spots with a 2.15-2.2 pop time behind the dish and 73 mph across the infield. The athleticism was present as well, turning in a 7.19 60. He has clear present skills and a foundation to continue adding to with further development - Larman will be a name to know in the 2029 class.
OF/LHP Joel Courtney (Jenks; 2029) impressed with his athletic profile and all-around game during the Rising Stars Games at OSU. The left-handed hitting outfielder showcased advanced foot speed with a 6.89 60-yard dash, allowing him to cover ground defensively which also showed up throughout the game play. Offensively, Courtney turned in a peak exit velocity of 90.1 mph with consistent hard contact to the middle of the field, showing feel for the barrel throughout his BP round. He registered an 83 mph outfield velocity with accurate throws, and finished his day on the mound where he worked up to 79.3 mph with his fastball. With polish on both sides of the ball and room to continue developing physically, Courtney is an intriguing young prospect to follow in the 2029 class.

Joel Courtney
OF/LHP Kamron Stidham (Leedey; 2029) flashed 2-way potential throughout the Rising Stars Games. At the plate, the left-handed hitter produced a max exit velocity of 80.3 mph, flashing barrel control and an inside-out approach geared for line drives. Defensively, Stidham continues to develop his arm strength from the outfield, working up to 82 mph, and his clean actions suggest more velo to come as he matures physically. On the mound, the LHP featured a three-pitch mix that he used effectively to change speeds and keep hitters off balance. As he continues to add strength and further develop, Stidham already has present tools to impact games in a variety of ways.
INF/OF Kypton Kenmore (Westmoore; 2030) showcased athleticism and 2-way capabilities at the Rising Stars Games. His speed was evident with a 7.42-second 60, showcasing quickness as a 2030 grad. Defensively, Kenmore showed a reliable arm with an infield velocity of 71 mph and throwing with good carry. Offensively, he produced a max exit velocity of 75.4 mph, with a quick, efficient offensive move. Kenmore’s well-rounded skill set positions him as a promising player to watch in the aforementioned 2030 class.
RHP/INF Camden Boswell (Tuttle; 2029) flashed versatility throughout the Rising Stars Games at OSU. The physical corner infielder was up to 83 across the infield. On the mound, Boswell impressed with an 82.5 mph fastball, showing upside with the entire mix but primarily leaning into his heavy fastball. Offensively, he posted a max exit velocity of 94.4 mph, showing developing bat speed and middle of the order power. He’ll be a name to keep an eye on in the future with upside in a couple different spots with a present foundation.

RHP/OF Tyler Zmek (Edmond Santa Fe; 2029) flashed 2-way upside with advanced feel on the mound at the Rising Stars Games. His athleticism and arm talent were evident as he worked up to 80 mph from the outfield. Offensively, the Edmond Santa Fe product lived on the barrel with an 87.5 max exit velocity. He finished his day impressing on the mound with an 82.3 mph fastball, adding a breaking ball and changeup that he was able to land in the zone. Zmek has clear present ability, but exciting upside as part of the 2029 class.
RHP Braydon Livingston (Kingfisher; 2029) showed potential for a power mix with projectability for the future throughout the Rising Stars Games. His arsenal featured an 82 mph high-spin fastball that consistently commanded the strike zone, complemented by an advanced spin slider that kept hitters off balance. He mixed in a curveball and changeup, ultimately showing pitchability despite the power mix. Livingston’s ability to miss bats and stay off the barrel will make him an exciting right hander in the 2029 class.
1B/RHP Grady Burgess (Seminole; 2029) put together arguably the loudest day, especially with the bat, of the Rising Stars Games. His athleticism was evident at first base and on the mound with an 80 mph fastball along with a 3-pitch mix that he could land in the zone and kept hitters guessing. At the plate, Burgess consistently delivered the barrel with authority, boasting a max exit velocity of 98.2 mph and an average exit velocity of 92.9 mph. The physical first baseman will be a name to follow as a future middle of the order force.
OF/RHP Miles Mayhew (Deer Creek; 2029) showcased his well-rounded game throughout the Rising Stars Games. His athleticism and two-way potential were evident as he reached 81 mph from the outfield and touched 79 mph on the mound with a clean delivery. Offensively, Mayhew consistently found the barrel, working up to a 92.1 mph max exit velocity. With his ability to impact the game both at the plate and on the mound, Mayhew remains a name to follow closely in the 2029 class.

Miles Mayhew
OF/RHP Carsten Spitler (Edmond Santa Fe; 2029) showed his present power as a middle of the order bat paired with potential 2-way upside in the future. The athletic outfielder posted a 7.37 in the 60 with a physical, strong frame and was up to 78 mph from the outfield, showing solid arm strength and carry. Offensively, Spitler impressed with loud contact and a 95.3 mph max exit velocity, driving the baseball to all fields. He also showcased a confident three-pitch mix on the mound, rounding out a well-balanced skill set that will be exciting to track moving forward at Edmond Santa Fe.
LHP/OF Gideon Smalley (Stroud; 2029) flashed legitimate 2-way upside with versatility in the outfield as well as upside on the mound. He turned in a 7.11 in the 60, and flashed solid arm strength with 77 mph velocity from the outfield. Offensively, Smalley consistently drove balls to the outfield with a 91.9 mph max exit velocity, with much more to come as the frame continues to fill out. Arguably, the best part of Smalley’s day came on the mound with a confident three-pitch mix that included good metrics and swing and miss potential. He will be a name to know in the 2029 class as the Stroud product has shown a present foundation with exciting upside.
INF Easton Hallman (Inola; 2029) showcased his athleticism and offensive tools during the Rising Stars Games at OSU. The well-rounded prospect turned in a solid 7.05 60 and showed strength at the plate with an 88.2 mph max exit velocity. On the infield, he showed the tools and actions to defend at a high level in the middle of the field. Hallman’s athleticism, ability as a sure-handed defender, and future development will make him an exciting name to follow.
INF Lincoln Schreiner (Bixby; 2029) showed the makings of a big upside as a left handed hitting infielder. A sure-handed defender, Schreiner displayed comfort receiving the ball out front with reliable hands and solid footwork. Offensively, easy was an easy mover, using the whole field with developing power as seen with an 87 mph max exit velocity. Schreiner’s fundamentals and projectability make him an intriguing follow in the 2029 class.
INF Zane Hale (Lone Grove; 2029) displayed his athleticism and defensive versatility throughout the workout at OSUt. The 2029 prospect showed the ability to handle multiple positions as he consistently showed the ability to complete plays in both the infield and outfield. Offensively, Hale produced a max exit velocity of 86.2 mph, with an easy offensive move, and consistently drove balls from alley to alley. He also turned in a solid 7.21 60, highlighting his athletic upside. Hale’s well-rounded skillset with the ability to impact games in a variety of ways will make him an exciting follow in the 2029 class.
INF Finley Thomason (Edmond North; 2029) showcased a well-rounded skill set throughout the Rising Stars Games event at OSU. The infielder posted a 7.13 60, showing the athleticism that we also saw on the infield. Defensively, Thomason was up to 73 mph across the infield with smooth footwork and soft hands. Offensively, the 2029 product used the whole field with an Exit Velo up to 83.3 mph. Thomason’s all-around game will make him an exciting follow.
INF/RHP Gunner Edge (Tuttle; 2030) impressed throughout the day at OSU showing advanced actions and feel with a strong foundation for future development. The infielder displayed smooth footwork and a confident confident actions while delivering throws with carry. Offensively, Edge posted an 81.7 mph max exit velocity with an athletic, efficient move through the middle of the field. Edge will be a name to know in the 2030 class as he continues to develop and further mature with a present skillset.
