Uncommitted Spotlight: '26 Landon Garrido

The summer is in full swing and the Prep Baseball Nevada staff has hosted several events, all featuring some very talented uncommitted prospects. The events we have wrapped up so far this summer consist of the Las Vegas Rising Stars Games/Top Prospect Games on May 28th with a ton of upcoming talent on hand, and the Reno Top Prospect Games, featuring a strong group of prospects from all classes.
Our staff has had eyes on hundreds of players this summer, including an in-depth look at those who performed at our events. As the summer continues, we will be highlighting some of the top uncommitted prospects in Nevada who made strong impressions, with our Uncommitted Spotlight Series.
We continue our Uncommitted Summer Spotlights with ‘26 LHP Landon Garrido. At the Reno Top Prospect Games, Garrido was one of the top arms, showing a well-rounded four-pitch mix from the left side. He sat 82–84 mph with the fastball and consistently went after hitters. His curveball came in at 71–72 mph with spin rates near 2500 rpm, showing sharp break that kept hitters off balance. He also mixed in a solid slider around 76 mph, spinning at similar rates, giving him another effective weapon. Rounding out the mix was a changeup at 72–76 mph with an average IVB of just 1.8 inches, giving it some depth and deception.
As Garrido continues to develop and add velocity throughout the summer, it will be exciting to see him turn some heads with his nasty four-pitch mix. This article will take a look at some of Landon's TrackMan pitching metrics from the Reno Top Prospect Games, all recorded in a live setting.

Body: 5-9, 164-pounds.
Delivery: Tall, hybrid type set up. Far right side of the rubber. Athleticism with rhythm throughout delivery. Drop and drive type. Lands on line to slightly close to target. Balanced finish over his front side.
Arm Action: LH. Loose, clean arm cycle. 3/4 slot. Repeats well.
FB: T81, 78-81 mph. Present life with flashes of heaviness. T1946, 1867 average rpm.
CB: 66-68 mph. Flashes of sweep. Repeats arm speed well of FB. Some tunnel. T2358, 2258 average rpm.
CH: 76-77 mph. Present arm side life. Works well of his FB. T1693, 1565 average rpm.

Body: 5-9, 164-pounds.
Hit: LHH. Athletic, squared set up. Knee to knee type leg kick. Lands on time, square to pitcher. Confident in the box. Great understanding of where his barrel is at. Level into zone with some lift in extension. Consistent line drive producer. Flashes of power potential, especially to the pull side. Much more to come. 66.4 mph bat speed with 8 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 85 max exit velocity, averaged 76.9 mph. 301' max distance.
Arm: LH. OF-81 mph. Clean, loose arm action. Some whippiness. 3/4 slot.
Defense: Efficient, controlled actions through the ball. Improved footwork helps get him on line to target. Athletic in his exchange with accurate throws. Corner OF type with improvements in speed possibly helping his case to move on as a CF.
