This past Saturday, May 31st, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the Future Games Tryout at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CA. This was an invite only event and it gave our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

40 players made their way to Mater Dei HS this past weekend and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

Today, we will be looking at all of the pitcher reports from the event.

TOP PITCHER PROSPECTS

1. Sam Clapp, Newport Harbor High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/OF Right-hander with a loose, whippy arm and a sharp three-pitch mix.
Body: 5-11, 180-pounds. Athletic, proportionate, projectable.
Delivery: Slow and steady delivery, loose, glove tap trigger, balanced finish.
Arm Action: RH. Arm starts low on the backswing, whippy action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T89, 85-88 mph. Strong arm side run with carry through the zone. T2211, 2104 average rpm.
SL: 74-75 mph. Tight spin with late horizontal break. T2090, 1814 average rpm.
CH: 78-79 mph. Heavy arm side fade with moderate depth. T1972, 1954 average rpm.
