2025 Prep Baseball Arkansas Player of the Year: Mark Brissey
June 24, 2025
With the 2025 Arkansas high school baseball season officially in the books, it’s time to announce our 2025 Prep Baseball Arkansas Player of the Year.
This year, the Prep Baseball Arkansas Player of the Year honor goes to RHP Mark Brissey (Fayetteville, 2025; Arkansas), who capped off a stellar high school career with a dominant senior season, helping lead Fayetteville to the 6A state title game, where they finished as the runner-up.
A 2023 Prep Baseball All-American Game participant, Brissey was nothing short of electric on the mound throughout the spring. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound right-hander racked up 104 strikeouts over 64 innings, finishing with a perfect 8-0 record, a 1.09 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and a .136 batting average against. One of his most clutch outings came in the state semifinals, where he silenced a potent Conway offense by allowing just one hit and no earned runs over five innings, striking out nine to send the Bulldogs to the championship game.
Brissey’s arsenal is headlined by a fastball that’s touched 95 mph this spring, paired with a sharp low-80s curveball spinning north of 2,500 RPM—traits that have made him a serious name to watch heading into this summer’s MLB Draft.
But Brissey wasn’t just dominant on the mound—he made a major impact at the plate as well. The Arkansas commit hit .347 with a 1.056 OPS, tallying 35 hits, including 15 for extra bases and five home runs. He drove in 36 runs and crossed the plate 22 times, proving to be a true two-way threat for the Bulldogs.
Congratulations to Mark Brissey on being named the 2025 Prep Baseball Arkansas Player of the Year!
