On Sunday, June 1st, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the 2025 ProCase - West at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. This was an invite-only event, and gave our staff an ample look at the top draft 2026 and 2027 prospects all over the West Coast.

Nearly 50 players made their way to Pepperdine University and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

Today, we're taking a look at the scouting reports on all of the catchers and outfielders on Team California.

CATCHER ANALYSIS (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)

Ian Brooke, Patrick Henry Highschool (CA), 2026
Positional Profile: C/OF Upward trending athlete who shows strong present offensive profile while flashing interesting long term defensive ability at premium spot.
Body: 6-1, 176.6 pounds. Athletically built with emerging wiry strength and length to his frame.
Hit: RHH. Taller set up with narrower stance and slightly open feet. Low back elbow with hands set near ear height small bat waggle. Slight shift into back leg with a smaller leg lift into a short forward to launch position. Well connected turn with effective use of lower 1/2 including small sink into rear leg. Barrel works up through the zone with rear shoulder drive through contact. 71 mph bat speed with 10g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 mph max exit velocity (86.9 avg.); 354-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. C - 79.00 mph. Accuracy to the bag with small sink/fade at end of throws. Clean transfer at chest with medium length arm path and higher release slot.
Defense: 1.99-2.06 pop time range; Sound receiver with strength in wrists and a soft glove. Shows present feel to block with athleticism in his defensive profile behind the plate.
Athletic Testing: 6.89 runner in the 60-yard dash; 25.10-inch max vertical jump. Vertical run posture with ability to build speed while maintaining his line.
