This Wednesday, July 2nd, the Prep Baseball New Jersey team is hosting the New Jersey Top Prospect Games - Session II at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ. This is a invite only event for top prospects from the high school classes (2026-29), and gives our staff an ample look at the state's top players.

EVENT HISTORY
We've been hosting this event for the past 4 years, and it's consistently provided us a look at prominent players who've later gone on to receive invitations to select events, like the Prep Baseball Future Games. Among the players in attendance at this event in 2024, there are already 45 commitments among them. We're looking forward to checking in on the next crop of talent from this event to earn next-level attention in the coming weeks, months, and years.
2025 ROSTER
This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.
2026's
INF/UTL Collin Perna (South Brunswick, 2026) is currently ranked No. 79 in the state's 2026 class and was one of the top performers from this winter's All-State Upperclass event. Perna was mashing baseballs up to a max EV of 105 mph with an average of 90 mph. The bat speed was also present touching an average of 74 mph. Perna also ran a 7.11 60 yard time this winter. Perna is a must see prospect for tomorrow's event.
2027's
RHP Kyle McBride (Delbarton, 2027) currently ranked No. 11 in the state's 2027 class, McBride has impressed in front of our staff. At a showcase last summer, McBride worked his fastball up to 84 mph, sitting 81-82 mph with an average spin of 2200+. Also, used a slider at 68-69 mph with 17 in. of avg. total movement, and a changeup at 76-78 mph with an avg. of 18 in. of total movement. Updated numbers for McBride should help the top 15-ranked prospect.
RHP Steven Pannullo (Delbarton, 2027) stands 6-foot-1, 195-pounds and is the tenth ranked prospect in the NJ 2027 class. Pannullo impressed at last year's Top Prospect Games where he touched 86 mph with his fastball, sitting 81-83 mph with an average of 12 in. of IVB. Also, flashed a slider at 70-75 mph, a changeup, and a splitter with 13 in. of total movement. Pannullo's bullpen should impress tomorrow.
OF/LHP Curt Friedrich (Delbarton, 2027) has been a name on the rise recently. Last fall, the left-hander had EVs up to 90 mph and a max distance of 333', also ran a sub seven second 60 (6.85) and threw 91 mph from the outfield. On the mount, the southpaw worked a fastball at 82-83 T84 mph for strikes, a lateral moving curveball at 73-74 mph with an avg. spin rate of 2274, and a fading changeup at 78-79 mph.
