Salt Lake City Summer ID: Statistical Analysis
July 2, 2025
On Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, the Prep Baseball Utah staff hosted its first big event of the summer, with around 50 prospects on deck. This group featured players from the 2026–2029 classes, many of whom turned in standout performances that caught our staff’s attention.
All players went through a full workout that included batting practice tracked by TrackMan and BLAST, a 60-yard dash recorded by VALD Performance, and defensive evaluations with positional velocities. Pitchers threw 15–20 pitch bullpens with TrackMan recording all of their pitches, giving us an in-depth look at how their stuff plays.
Over the next few days, we’ll be rolling out post-event coverage spotlighting top performers, stat leaders, and more. Stay tuned to our social channels for video highlights, leaderboards, and continued content from the event.
Today, we kick things off with a deep dive into the data collected, breaking down the numbers in this Statistical Analysis feature. Leaderboards will include results from TrackMan Hitting and Pitching, VALD Performance, and positional metrics.
