Uncommitted Spotlight: '26 Tyke Daniels

The summer is in full swing, and the Prep Baseball Arizona staff has hosted several events featuring talented uncommitted prospects. So far, we’ve completed two of three Summer ID events, showcasing standout players who earned invites to the Future Games in July. We also wrapped up both Top Prospect Games, which included many high-quality players from the classes of 2026 and 2027, with more Future Games invites handed out.
Our staff has had eyes on hundreds of players this summer, including an in-depth look at those who performed at our events. As the summer continues, we will be highlighting some of the top uncommitted prospects in Arizona who made strong impressions, with our Uncommitted Spotlight Series.
We continue to highlight some of our Summer Showcase standouts with '26 RHP/OF Tyke Daniels. Tyke was one of the top arms we saw at the Top Prospect Games, earning himself a Senior Future Games invite with his performance. He showcased a polished 3-pitch mix and showed the ability to command all three for strikes. The fastball sat 86–87 mph and generated some swing-and-miss. The slider came in at 75–76 with tight shape, and the changeup might be the separator—averaging around 1100 RPM with plenty of depth. While we primarily focused on his work on the mound in this article, Tyke also led the event with a 94 mph outfield velocity and turned in some solid numbers at the plate, showcasing his all-around athleticism. As his velocity continues to trend upward, Tyke is definitely a name to keep an eye on throughout the summer.

Hit: RHH. Athletic set up, slightly open stance. Slight bend in the knees. Strind brings him back to square position. Hands help above shoulder with some rythme. Works mostly to the pull side. Handsy hitter. Inconsistent with the barrel.
Arm: RH. OF-94 mph.
Tyke Daniels, a 2026 right-handed pitcher and outfielder from Mountain Ridge High School, was a standout performer at the recent scout day, impressing with both power and athleticism. At the plate, Daniels displayed a powerful swing, generating a max exit velocity of 96.8 mph and reaching a max distance of 359 feet, primarily driving balls to the pull side with his “short to it, long through it” bat path. He also showcased his speed with a 7.04-second 60-yard dash, rounding out his profile as a well-rounded and promising talent on both sides of the ball.
