Miami Summer ID: Quick Hits

The Miami Summer ID took place on Tuesday, June 24, at True North Classical Academy in Miami, FL. The event featured players from the 2026-2030 classes participating in a pro-style workout, followed by bullpens in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.

Winston Andujar OF / 3B / Calusa Preparatory School, FL / 2027Physical 6'1" 198 lb frame. Andujar showed easy actions all around the diamond with a powerful bat. 99 max EV and 73 mph average bat speed. Andujar threw 95 mph from the outfield and showed soft hands and clean footwork in the infield.

Brody Baxmann OF / Bishop Verot, FL / 2027Long 6'1" 183 lb frame. Left-handed bat with the ability to lift and drive with pull-side power potential. 101 exit velo and 72 mph bat speed.

Jake Carruthers OF / 3B / Chaminade Madonna, FL / 2027Carruthers lit up the leaderboards metrically. Started the day running a 6.56 60-yard dash. Led the event with a 105 exit velo and even hit a ball 412 feet. Showed a strong arm up to 90 mph from the outfield as well.

AJ Cruz SS / 3B / Miami Sunset Senior High School, FL / 2026Cruz looked to have added size since our last time seeing him. Very projectable build. Showed gap-to-gap power potential in BP up to 99 EV. Jumped 27.2 inches in the vertical jump.

Blake Davis OF / TNXL Academy, FL / 2027Davis showed a ton of athleticism in Miami. Led the event in both the 60-yard dash and vertical jump. Davis ran a 6.55 60 and jumped 29.5 inches.

Christopher Gonzalez OF / LHP / Miami Sunset Senior High School, FL / 2026Gonzalez showcased strength and bat speed at the plate. Up to 100 mph exit velo and 74 mph bat speed. Easy actions defensively with quiet feet and an athletic arm.

Julian Rodriguez C / 3B / North Broward Preparatory School, FL / 2027Rodriguez showed above-average catch and throw ability from behind the plate and soft hands receiving. 1.85 pop time and 82 mph down to second. At the plate, he showed pull-side power potential up to 99 ev.

Jake Sedmack OF / RHP / Bishop Verot, FL / 2027Sedmack looked stronger since our last look. Athletic build, ran a 6.88 in the 60. Showcased power potential up to 102 exit velocity and 76 mph bat speed.

Zachary Tavarez SS / RHP / Archbishop Mccarthy High School, FL / 2027Tavarez is an athletic two-way. Moves well defensively. Gap to gap hitter at the plate. Pitchability on the mound. Sat 87-89 with the fastball. Mixed two different breaking balls with the curveball spinning up to 2826 rpm.

Hunter Wieckowski RHP / 1B / Timber Creek , FL / 2027Wieckowski continues to make jumps on the mound. 6'3" 195 lbs. Sat 87-90 in his bullpen. Spun the slider for strikes. Sharp action up to 2711 rpm. Killed spin and controlled the changeup for strikes as well.
