Hayes Maginnis, RHP/SS, 2027, East Cobb Astros 16U
It’s been an outstanding year so far for Maginnis in many facets including a 5A State Championship and Prep Baseball Georgia All-Underclass bid. The Astros turned to the talented two-way to open bracket play and proceeded to punch out 10 over 6.1 one-hit innings to advance. Fastball lived in the low-90s throughout the outing, holding consistently arm-side run and feel to land up and in for both called strikes and in-zone misses. Curveball continues to show as a high-level offering at 71-75 while maintaining 12/6 shape and depth. Maginnis showed feel to land throughout the zone and has confidence to throw early in the count to get ahead. The changeup was the star of the show in the outing with an innate ability to kill spin (650 RPM) and huge glove-side, disappearing tumble. Aptitude to throw it against both LHH and RHH alike with tremendous results. Makings of a future plus offering and true out pitch for Maginnis. At the plate, the two-way talent utilizes Pedroia-like setup at the plate with quiet hands and great pitch recognition. The 2025 Future Gamer opened the week with a loud pull-side HR at 99 off the bat as well as adding multiple knocks throughout the week in an all-fields approach. There’s an abundance of polish in the profile, and I'm still bullish on the future ceiling as well. Stock up to open an important summer campaign.

Dylan Seward, SS, 2027, Canes National 16U
Fresh off of an outstanding showing at West Coast ProCase a few weeks back that included an outlandish 6.17 laser-timed 60 yard and excellent BP, I was giddy to get my eyes on Seward and the shortstop was impressive in every facet. A switch-hitter, Seward showed tremendous hands in-zone from both sides of the plate, with obvious twitch/bat speed and the ability to manipulate the barrel with minimal effort. The hit/power combo was on display all week long, sending long home runs out from both sides of the plate including one of the most advanced swings I’ve seen all year as he hunted a first-pitch fastball and drove it out backside to the tune of 102 EV and 395ft in the semi-finals. Great lateral actions in the dirt for Seward with impressive footwork and positioning backed by the elite athleticism to attack balls in the hole with ease. It’s a true five-tool profile with in-game production and top-of-the-class ceiling that will make Seward one of the most sought after players in the country in just a few months.

Denton Lord, RHP, 2026, USA Prime/Aces National
I’ve been able to have multiple looks at Lord over the past calendar year and it’s been easy to walk away impressed every single time. Standing every bit of 6-foot-8 with a high waist and long levers, The Florida commit exudes advanced body control that allows Lord to be an excellent mover on the mound with repeatability. Arm is consistently on-time with great scap retraction and loose finish from a three-quarters slot that screams even more velo to come. The RHP lived 92-96 from a tough angle while getting consistent arm-side run and above-average command. Landed on the inner half to RHH at will and allowed the breaking ball to play way up in the outing. The aforementioned curveball lived at 78-81 with tight shape and late horizontal that will tunnel off the fastball well while running away from barrels. Ability to land throughout the zone with some in-zone misses and chase alike. Cutter and changeup were both shown as well but the dominance in the FB/CB combo led to a high usage in this outing. Ceiling could be as high as any RHP in the class and continues to prove it on the biggest stages.

Nick Bobrowski, LHP, 2026, 643 Cougars 17U
It was a breakout spring campaign for Bobrowski as he emerged as SP1 for the perennial powerhouse Pope and has now carried it over into a hot start this summer. A crafty lefty by definition but Bobrowski has a true three-pitch mix that can get outs at many levels. Pinpoint fastball command allows the uncommitted LHP to dot any spot he wants throughout the zone and allows the mid-high 80s to create a ton of soft contact and called strikes. Curveball at 68-72 can look unhittable at times with plus-plus feel to spin (3400+ RPM) and ufo-like horizontal movement. It’s extremely hard to pick up out of the hand and can create extremely ugly swings frequently. Mid-70s changeup has some tumble to it that creates quality depth and plays well off both the FB/CB. Bobrowski has the type of stuff and confidence to be an asset at multiple levels at collegiate level and will be a huge win for a staff in this 2026 class.
