The 2025 spring season has come to an end across the Old Line State. Our staff announced the 'Prep Baseball MD All-State teams' last week, and this week, we highlight the Newcomer of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and Player of the Year. First up, we take a look at a freshman that made a huge contribution this year on varsity as the Newcomer of the Year.

NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR

2028 MIF Charlie Delobe (Severna Park HS)

Across the state, there were plenty of young bucks that made huge contributions on varsity this spring, and at the top of that list was freshman Charlie Delobe. A wiry, highly athletic middle infielder, Delobe was the epitome of consistent, hitting .388 with 19 hits in the middle of the Falcons lineup.
