2025 Colorado Player of the Year: Connor Larkin

The Prep Baseball Colorado staff is excited to announce we have selected one athlete who has excelled amongst his peers and will receive this year's Prep Baseball Colorado Player of the Year Award:

Larkin is a back-to-back 5A state champion who has been one of the top hitters within Colorado over the last few years. The 6'3'' left-handed hitting first-baseman from Cherry Creek mashed for a .457 average in 2025 with 11 homers, 10 doubles, a triple, 20 stolen bases, just an 8% K rate, and a 1.463 OPS across 110 plate appearances. We can also tell you that the southpaw added in 20.1 innings on the mound this spring with 31 Ks, a 2.41 ERA, and a fastball up to 90 mph.
The smooth left-handed swing on Larkin has produced some easy power to all fields, which made him one of the most dangerous at-bats for opposing teams. Larkin's hit tool continues to develop at a high level while his approach yields tons of overall production, and a very high ceiling for the future. (Player comparisons: Matt Olson & Brandon Lowe)

The 2023 Prep Baseball Future Games standout has continued to build momentum throughout his HS career and could be selected in this year's upcoming MLB draft as Prep Baseball's #4 nationally ranked first-baseman in the 2025 class. Larkin did sign his letter of intent to continue his baseball career at the University of Oklahoma prior to this spring.
