Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.
Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.
This week's Hitter of the Week is '25 INF Torsten Hersom (La Salle).

Hersom wins Hitter of the Week in Week 11 of Oregon HS action after a stellar pair of playoff games. The senior went 7/7 at the plate with 3 doubles, 5 runs and an RBI overall. Hersom also walked twice, reaching base a total of 9 times across the two games. The Lane CC commit was most recently seen at PNW Senior Games last fall. |
