2025 ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

AJ Curry 1B / OF / University City High, CA / 2026

From 1/9/25: “Curry made his homecoming to one of our events in California following an eventful 2024 in Kentucky. Playing at Ryle HS in Union, KY, Curry hit .552 with 10 XBH while nearly having a near 3:1 BB/K ratio in 79 PA. He followed his dominant spring with a near-perfect performance at the Prep Baseball Future Games, earning an invite to the Prep Baseball All-American Game. During the PSAS, Curry ran a top 5 60-yard dash at 6.837 seconds and threw an event top 90 mph from the OF. In BP, Curry showed his trademark left-handed stroke, hitting a max EV of 98.9 and sending one way out of the park at 381 feet. In the gameplay portion, Curry hopped on the mound and revved it up to 89 mph with a 4-pitch mix.”

Dustin Dunwoody RHP / OF / Royal , CA / 2026

From 5/21/25: “Dunwoody jumped into the rankings on the backside of his Soph. season at Royal and then earned his spot on Team California at the 2024 Prep Baseball Future Games which brought him an Arizona commitment. The athletic righthander makes an impressive 42 spot jump up our board on the back of an upward tick to his FB velocity, life on his breaking pitches, control of his arsenal and a loud spring performance for the Highlanders ascending to the ace spot on their staff. For the year Dunwoody threw 67 innings with 96 Ks against 20 BBs while opponents hit just .183 on the year against him. Dunwoody posted a 1.15 ERA, 7-0 record, made 12 starts with one no-hitter. His FB lived at 89-93 MPH and touched 94 MPH with a sharp mid 80's SLD, low 80's CB, and a developing 79-81 MPH CHG. Dunwoody will be in attendance at the 2025 ProCase West on 6/1/25.”

Jared Grindlinger OF / LHP / Huntington Beach, CA / 2027

From 3/12/25: “Grindlinger shined on both sides of the ball in the season opening win vs. Harvard-Westlake. Starting in LF and batting 7th, Grindlinger went 2-for-3 with 2 2B and an RBI. The sophomore moved to the mound in the 5th, where he tossed 2 perfect innings and struck out 3.”

Gary Morse RHP / RHP / Orange Lutheran, CA / 2026

From 5/21/25: “The 2023 Prep Baseball Future Gamer for Team California and 2024 Prep Baseball All American makes a small one spot move back up the Top 10 into the nine spot. A Tennessee commit with a low 90's FB and feel for an interesting off-speed arsenal posted an impressive spring in the Trinity League for the OLU program. Morse made 10 starts with an 8-2 record facing off against high level high school competition he posted an astounding 0.94 ERA over the 52.1 innings he has thrown. The 6'8 righthander struck out 65 hitters with an opponents batting average of .134 against him on the spring. He topped the Lancers in wins, ERA, innings pitched and strikeouts in a dominant spring campaign.”

CJ Weinstein SS / Huntington Beach High, CA / 2026

From 6/13/24: “An athletic wiry frame that shows some present strength to it at 6'1 18o lbs. with easy actions and loud offensive ability to his profile Weinstein has consistently performed across the board for the Prep Baseball California staff including being a part of the 2023 Future Games with Team California and at the recent Prep Baseball ProCase West where he excelled against top competition from Arizona, Utah, and Nevada as part of team California. During the workout portion of the day Weinstein shows well with his skill set across the board first with a 7.12 second 60 yard dash that includes a top run speed of 19.6 MPH. He moves around the INF where he shows off his actions at multiple spots during ground balls looking most comfortable at 2B, but showing well at SS and flashing arm strength with an 87 MPH INF arm velocity. While Weinstein is a solid defender where his tools show best presently and carry his profile is on the offensive side of the game with an advanced LH bat that shows impact. During batting practice sessions Weinstein consistently barrels baseballs from the middle to pull side of the field including a peak EV at 99 MPH with 90.2 MPH average EV and a 86% sweet spot rate. His ProCase West BP was highlighted by a blast over the scoreboard at Pepperdine in straight away RF off the massive brick wall just beyond it. The swing itself is fluid with present bat speed at 71.9 MPH an explosive turn generating 20.8 G's of rotational acceleration to allow his hands to work through the zone at 22.7 MPH with leverage in his bat path to be an impact top of the order hitter. With his abundance of tools on the offensive side, solid athleticism, and upside Weinstein was a key performer playing at a high level in game this spring for the CIF-SS D1 semifinalist Huntington Beach Oilers program. Weinstein posted a strong .322 average to go with a .411 OBP/.567 SLG and 7 doubles, 3 triples, 3 HRs, 19 RBIs, 17 runs scored while facing down elite competition within the state of California and nationally. The ceiling for Weinstein is very high as one of the best LH hitters in the state & nationally. As he continues to mature and develop as a player to go with his already stellar performance Weinstein has a chance to go to even higher levels of performance over the course of his final 2 years of high school/travel baseball.”

James Tronstein OF / SS / HARVARD-WESTLAKE, CA / 2026

From 12/5/24: “Finally, a new addition to the top 10, #8 SS/CF James Tronstein (CA), continued to impress with his eye-popping toolset. A compact 5-foot-9, 167-pounder, Tronstein ran a 6.6 60-yard dash and turned heads at LoanDepot Park by hitting a deep shot to center field with a wood bat during Prep Baseball All-American Game workouts. With thunderous barrel contact (107 mph exit velocity), no player in the class takes more consistently quality at-bats than the Southern California native. True to his Dodgers roots, Tronstein’s versatility as both a true shortstop and elite center fielder will only increase the growing buzz around him. As the next two years unfold, expect that buzz to turn into a full-on roar.”

Alex Harrington SS / RHP / Cathedral Catholic San Diego, CA / 2026

From 1/9/25: “Harrington is and has been one of the most prominent names in San Diego, if not the entire country, for years now. It's hard to poke holes in his profile; he moves very well on the basepaths and in the field with the arm to back it up. He can hit for power and average while having the instincts and competitive traits to thrive under any spotlight. Harrington stood out in both the workout and in-game. In BP he sprayed balls all over the field with hard line drives and HRs, his average EV was 94.7, with a peak of 100. In-game, Harrington worked competitive at-bats all day, walking away with a walk, a double, and a single with 94 EV into LF.”
