WEEK 12 DIAMOND NOTES

+ Sean McGrath, RHP (San Marin, 2025)

McGrath came up clutch in a much needed 1-0 win, tossing a complete-game shutout to clinch the MCAL league title for San Marin. The Cal Poly SLO signee struck out 11, walked just one, and scattered five hits in the start. McGrath finished 7-1 with a dominant 0.38 ERA, tallying 74 strikeouts to just 11 walks over 55 innings pitched in the regular season.

+ Duncan Russell, RHP (Bishop O'Dowd, 2025)

Russell was dominant in his start against Piedmont, striking out 12 over six innings of one-hit, shutout baseball. The senior right-hander was a key arm for Bishop O’Dowd, holding a 2-1 record with a 2.29 ERA and 37 strikeouts this spring.

+ Kekoa Delatori, RHP (Mira Costa, 2028)

Delatori closed out his season with a strong relief outing, striking out the side against the three batters he faced in a clean inning of work. The freshman finishes his debut varsity campaign with a perfect 7-0 record, a 0.95 ERA, and a fastball that reportedly topped out at 90 mph — an impressive start to what looks like a promising high school career.

+ Julian Oliver, MIF (Novato, 2026)

Oliver showed off his power at the plate this week, blasting three home runs against Terra Linda. The junior SS put together a standout season, hitting .369 with five home runs, 10 doubles, and 29 RBIs.

+ Braden Ford, RHP/1B (Livermore, 2026)

Ford was dominant in a statement win over Granada, throwing 6.1 shutout innings with nine strikeouts while reportedly sitting 88-90 mph and touching 91. At the plate, he added three hits across the series, including his third home run of the season. He finished the year with a 2.24 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 43.2 innings pitched.

+ Tanner Blackmon, LHP/1B (Murrieta Mesa, 2026)

With Murrieta Mesa’s playoff hopes on the line, Blackmon delivered a clutch complete game one-hitter with eight strikeouts and just one walk. The 7-inning gem secured a must-win for Mesa to meet the .500 mark and keep their postseason hopes alive.
