Prep Baseball Wisconsin Player of the Week: Caden Meyer
May 14, 2025
Senior INF/RHP Caden Meyer (Carthage College) was a key piece for Greendale, going 3-0 on the week. Across the three games, Meyer was a consistent and impact bat for the Panthers, going 9-for-12 at the plate with nine extra base hits, 15 RBIs, seven doubles, a triple and a home run, scoring five runs himself. For his efforts, Meyer has been named this week’s Player of the Week.
Meyer got his week started on Tuesday in a run-rule victory over West Allis Central, going 4-for-4 at the plate with three doubles and five RBIs, scoring twice himself.
He kept things rolling on Wednesday in another run-rule victory over Central. This time Meyer went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, triple, home run and nine RBIs with three runs scored.
Rounding off his week on Friday in a 12-1 victory against Wauwatosa West, going 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and an RBI.
The senior infielder raised his average to .392 on the year with a 1.132 OPS over the course of the week, while setting the program record for RBIs in a game with nine on Wednesday. Projectable and athletic standing at 5-foot-10, 150 pounds with reliable defense in the infield and bat-to-ball traits.
We're thankful for the POTW submissions we received from the coaches across the state. The players who garnered POTW consideration will earn a place within tomorrow's Diamond Notes story, so be on the lookout for that.
