Taking home this week's offensive player of the week is 2026 Cam Smith! The North Laurel backstop led the Jaguars to a perfect 4-0 week with his great performance at the plate. Smith totaled 13 bases this week on six hits, batting .429 with a double and two bombs. The 5'11" 190lb junior also scored three runs while driving in seven. North Laurel has been an interesting team to watch all season, as Smith and the Jaguars now hold a 16-12 record and have climbed up to the #4 ranking in the 13th Region. After going undefeated last week, they continued their win streak with a run-rule victory last evening to make it five in a row. With three games left in the regular season, North Laurel is looking to finish on a high note and put the rest of the 13th Region on watch as they try to catch fire and make a run in the postseason. They'll need Smith's bat to stay hot near the top of the lineup, as the 2026 C/OF now leads the Jaguar offense with 29 RBI, 16 XBH including 6 HR, as well as 14 BB and 30 H overall on the year for an impressive .349 AVG.
