Last week, Prep Baseball PNW was in attendance at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue, Washington to see a pair of KingCo/WesCo playoff matchups. In the first game of the afternoon, Liberty defeated Interlake by a final score of 9-7. Below are scouting notes on standout players from the matchup.

Liberty vs. Interlake (5.7.25)

Liberty

‘27 SS Sam Bell (Liberty)
Athletic SS in the leadoff spot for the Patriots. Went 1-4 on the day. Quick, agile defender who stays low through the play and flashed a quick, easy exchange into his throw. Contact type approach at the plate. Lets the ball travel as hands work freely/quickly from a taller, upright stance.

‘25 1B/LHP Ryan Boehm (Liberty/Whitworth)
Boehm got it done at the plate often in this match-up as he tallied multiple hits on the day with 3 SB, 3 R and a BB. The talented 2-way prospect can really rotate as an athlete and gets quick, sudden bat speed from the left-side with ample power. Things got tight late and he was forced into relief in this one and pitched 1.1 innings racking up 3 strikeouts in a shorter outing.

’26 RHP/INF Connor Mayer (Liberty)
Mayer got starting duties on the bump in this one and despite some early defensive miscues that allowed Interlake to get on the board early, he settled down and found his rhythm. After the 1st, he fired 4 scoreless innings the rest of the way, pitching out of some jams and executing from the stretch. FB shows some riding life in the zone and he pairs it with an 11/5 breaker as his main secondary. At the plate, went 1-2, 2 R, RBI, 2 BB.

‘27 OF Parker Heeter (Liberty)
6’3, 205 lb multi-sport athlete who did a lot of damage offensively. Went 2-4, 2B, 2 RBI while showcasing exciting traits and big upside. Gets a lot of leverage at the plate with longer levers and a high waisted frame. Uses a shorter forward stride which allows him to stay tall as he slots hands early to get swing on plane. Barrel covers depth in the zone with heavy impact at contact. Ball jumps when he connects. Got the barrel out on this look and stroked multiple balls to the pull-side with authority. Athletic gait in the OF with above average speed underway.

‘25 C Trevor Snow (Liberty)
Uncommitted senior who had a highly productive day at the plate and capitalized on opportunities in each AB. Finished 1-3, 2B, 3 RBI while consistently scoring runners with a selfless approach early in the game. Offensively controls the zone with quality strike zone discipline and reliable bat to ball skills. Steady defender who controls the game behind the plate and receives well throughout.

‘27 INF Colton Hollerbach (Liberty)
Rising sophomore had a big game offensively and put aggressive swings on the ball when he had advantage counts. From the left-side, uses a balanced, taller set up with a quiet forward move and short, low maintenance load. Went 2-3 with a 2B and 3 RBI, including a walk--off hit in the bottom of the 7th with the bases loaded to send everyone home. Swing plays to the middle of the field with some classic, left handed loft in the finish. Has pull-side pop in the tank and should continue to drive the ball as he gets older.

Interlake

‘28 OF/P Devin Wallace (Interlake)
Wallace got the start for the Saints and drew a tough assignment against an older and experienced Liberty offense. Battled across 4 innings showing a FB from a lower slot with some riding life. Went 1-2 at the dish with a BB. Overall showed some feel for the zone with a quick, direct stroke and solid plate discipline.

‘26 SS Sam Haufe (Interlake)
Confident defender at SS with smooth actions and consistent body control. Handled the opportunities he had in game with steady tempo through the play and a natural ease throughout the fielding process. Offensively went 1-4, 2B, R, 2 RBI, BB from the leadoff spot. Delivered arguably the biggest hit of the game in T7 with his team trailing by 2 runs. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Haufe laced an elevated FB into the LCF gap to tie the game at 7-7. Level, flat swing through the zone. Keeps hands above the baseball and has some quickness to the barrel. Was a standout performer on the day.

‘25 C Alex Diaz (Interlake)
Diaz was a table setter in the #2 spot of the line-up offensively thanks to his 3-5 day which included 2 runs scored. Has some speed at the dish and dropped down 2 successful bunt hits while also adding a line drive into the OF for his 3rd knock of the day. Compact receiver at C with some quickness out of the crouch and a shorter path to his arm action.

‘26 Nicholas Panigassi (Interlake)
Went 1-4 on the day with a sharp line drive single up the middle and also produced a couple hard hit outs that found barrel in his remaining ABs. Hits from a more crouched set up with a big hip hinge at the waist and a shorter, direct path to the ball.

‘26 OF Brady Didrickson (Interlake)
Lean, projectable 6’4 athlete with a high waisted frame and long levers. Looks the part defensively in the OF and profiles well their long term. Went 1-4 on the day with a 2B and RBI. Offensively likely will grow into more power as he continues to develop. Swing path plays pretty level with more of a gap to gap, middle of the field approach presently.

‘25 OF Wyatt Tang (Interlake)
Tang went 1-3 with a 2B, R, 2 RBI and BB on the day. Delivered a clutch 2 RBI double that helped Interlake rally and led them to eventually tying the game up late. From the left-side he shows a balanced, simple set up with very few moving parts. Lets the hands work and has a loose, whippy barrel through the zone. Solid feel for contact with the ability to get his barrel to the ball. Frame is wiry with some lean strength and plays well in the OF.
