Region X Roundup: March 14, 2025

Inside we look at all three classifications within Region X Junior College Baseball.  Two teams punch their ticket to the JUCO World Series.  One tournament heads to their semifinal and championship round this Friday and Saturday after 3 days of packed action.  Also, DII and DIII announced their end of season awards.

🏆 DI World Series Ticket Punched: Flo-Dar to Grand Junction

Florence-Darlington Tech is once again headed to the NJCAA Division I World Series after capturing the East District Championship in dramatic fashion.

The Stingers dropped the opening game to a tough Harford Community College squad but battled back with two straight wins to secure the best-of-three series and punch their ticket to Grand Junction, Colorado.

In the series-deciding Game 3, played at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, SC, Florence-Darlington edged Harford 7–6 in a nail-biter to lock up their return to the national stage.  With the victory, the Stingers now set their sights on Grand Junction, where they'll compete against the best teams in the nation for a shot at the 2025 NJCAA Division I National Championship.

🏆 DII Tournament: Catawba Valley Into the Finals

The Region 10 Division II Baseball Tournament has delivered thrilling action and dramatic finishes as teams fight for a chance at a championship. Ahead of the final rounds, the region also announced its 2025 postseason honors, recognizing standout performances on the field and in the dugout.

The DII tournament is scheduled to pick up in the semifinal round on Thursday with Catawba Valley awaiting Patrick Henry, Brunswick, or Bryant-Stratton.  The winner of the semi-final setup will have to beat Catawba Valley twice on Saturday for the title.

🏆 Surry Captures DIII Championship

The Region 10 Division III Baseball Tournament has wrapped up, with Surry Community College emerging as the Region 10 and Mid-Atlantic District Champion. The team will now head to the NJCAA DIII World Series in Auburn, NY.
