SCOUT BLOGS!
Reidar Carlson, 2027, RHP, Lexington
Projectable, high waisted frame at 6-2 180-pounds and plenty of more room to add. Long arm swing with a H3Q slot and strong arm speed. Didn’t find as many swings and misses this outing but showed good resiliency battling through threats here and there and finishing off the complete game. FB with riding life say 82-84 and touched 85. Good feel and bite on CB at 74-75. Flashed a SL at 77-78 and CH at 73-74. Good mix and shows command of each keeping hitters off balance. Arm to follow closely as we head into the summer.

Velocity not there as much as usual, but the frame and smooth delivery still show a lot to like. Good feel for offspeed stuff. S/M traits to FB.

Toby Sobieralski, 2025, C, Lexington
USC Aiken commit. Smaller frame with strength throughout with some athleticism, right-handed hitter. Crouched and slightly open stance with hands held low below shoulder height and barrel tip pointed vertically, Higher leg kick load with good balance as he sinks into back hip. Slight tilt down with the shoulders as he begins forward move, short strider that gets the foot down on time before releasing barrel. Good hand speed in zone with a short path and some natural lift at contact. Solid swing and a good athlete.
