New Jersey Class of 2027 Rankings: Updated

In New Jersey, we fully updated and expanded the 2027 rankings earlier this spring, after a long, busy winter event season, which included the Preseason All-State: Underclass. A number of 2027s continue to elevate their status and this class looks to be as top heavy and as deep as any class in recent memory.

Notes

OF Finnian O’Loughlin (Delbarton, 2027):
The top ranked sophomore in the state has been a big contributor out of the top of the lineup for the Green Wave. O’Loughlin is currently hitting .425 with 11 doubles, and three home runs along with 31 RBIs. He has led Delbarton to a quarterfinal game against Bergen Catholic.
 SS Joey DiMeo (Toms River East, 2027):
DiMeo, currently No. 2 in the state for the sophomore class has helped Toms River East to the #2 seed and a win in the first round of the state tournament. DiMeo is hitting .394 with eight doubles, one homer, 22 walks, 35 stolen bases, and scored 33 runs. East is set to play the seven seed Hammonton. 
RHP Michael Fekete (Cherry Hill East, 2027):
Fekete has been a name on the rise in the 2027 class, jumping three spots, up to third overall in the class. The right hander has tossed a team leading 47.2 innings while carrying a 2.35 ERA. He’s struck out 62 hitters while walking only 13. He recently threw six shutout innings allowing two hits, one walk, and one strikeout in the first round of the state tournament against Lenape.
LHP Cooper Burti (Cherokee, 2027):
Burti, a southpaw out of Cherokee comes in at the 4th ranked 2027 in the state. Coming off an injury in the beginning of the season, the left-hander tossed 13.2 innings with a 1.54 ERA, allowing three earned runs. He struck out 22 and walked seven. Burti just threw two innings out of the bullpen in the first round of the state tournament allowing two hits, three strikeouts, and no runs. 
SS Ricky Lopez (Ranney, 2027; LSU):
Lopez continues to rise in the rankings, up to number five now, the LSU commit is hitting .450 with eight home runs and 19 RBIs. Lopez had led Ranney to the fourth seed, facing off against Holy Spirit in the quarterfinal round on Friday. 

Risers

C Kevin Comblo (St. Joseph Montvale, 2027; TCU):
The TCU commit has made huge strides recently. Comblo has six doubles and a homer, driving in 13 runs along with 12 walks for St. Joseph. The Green Knights take on Seton Hall Prep on Friday in the quarterfinals.
RHP Kyle McBride (Delbarton, 2027)
McBride has put up some solid numbers in his varsity campaign for the 23-4 Delbarton Green Wave. The lanky right handers has thrown 23 IP with 36 K and allowed just 11 hits so far.
LHP Benjamin Faigin (Monroe Township, 2027)
Impressive showing this spring on the mound for Faigin logging a team high 38.2 UP, allowing just 18 hits and striking out 61. Fastball up to 88 - Faigin is a guy to keep an eye on this summer.
