MISSISSIPPI - The Final 4 round of the MHSAA Class 7A-1A state baseball playoffs delivered no shortage of standout performances as teams across the state continue their championship quests. From dominant pitching to explosive offensive outbursts, players stepped up in big moments to lead their teams to crucial playoff victories that punched tickets to the state finals. Here’s a look at some of the top individual performers who made a major impact and helped set the tone for what’s shaping up to be another exciting week of postseason play in Mississippi.

CLASS 7A TOP PERFORMERS
- Jackson Clark (Brandon) The East Central CC recruit threw 7 innings, allowing 6 hits, 2 runs, with 10 strikeouts in a Game 1 win over Oak Grove.
- Jay McQueen (Brandon) The South Alabama recruit threw 5 innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 run, with 5 strikeouts in a Game 2 win over Oak Grove. Also had 4 hits including 3 doubles and 2 RBI’s.
- Tai Jones (Brandon) Went 3 for 5 with a homer and 2 runs batted in Brandon’s sweep of Oak Grove.
- Graydon Walker (Brandon) Went 4 for 6 with a triple and 4 RBI’s in the Bulldogs series win over Oak Grove.
- Warren Hutchinson (Madison Central) Went 4 for 5 with 3 RBI’s and 5 runs scored in a sweep over Tupelo.
- Landon Deslatte (Madison Central) Went 4 for 6 with 2 doubles in a series win over Tupelo.
CLASS 6A TOP PERFORMERS
- Preston McAdory (George County) The Pearl River CC recruit and former Future Gamer threw 5 innings, allowing 2 hits, 2 runs, with 11 strikeouts in a Game 1 win over Pearl River Central.
- Ben Davis (George County) Went 4 for 6 with a double and a triple in a series sweep of Pearl River Central.
- Wilson Rodriguez (Saltillo) Threw 7 innings, allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, with 11 strikeouts in a Game 2 win over Warren Central.
- Baylor Roberts (Saltillo) The Alabama-Brimingham recruit and former Future Gamer went 4 for 6 with 3 runs, and 2 RBI’s in the series win over Warren Central.
CLASS 5A TOP PERFORMERS
- Dylan Causey (South Jones) The Southern Miss recruit threw 6 innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 run, with 8 strikeouts in a Game 1 win over East Central.
- Eyan Butler (South Jones) Went 4 for 8 in the series win over East Central.
- Tanner Harris (Lafayette) Threw 5 ⅓ innings, allowing 3 hits, 0 runs, with 6 strikeouts in a Game 1 win over Corinth.
- Brett Williams (Lafayette) Threw 6 ⅓ innings, allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, with 3 strikeouts in a Game 2 win over Corinth.
- Levi Hamm, Tanner Harris, Landon Cobbs, solo homers in Game 2 (3-2 win).
CLASS 4A TOP PERFORMERS
- Jo Jo Parker (Purvis) The Mississippi State recruit threw 5 ⅓ innings, allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, with 10 strikeouts in a Game 1 win over Sumrall.
- Drew Swan (Purvis) Went 4 for 7 with 3 RBI’s in a series sweep over Sumrall.
- Jacob Parker (Purvis) The Mississippi State recruit went 3 for 5 with a home run, 5 runs scored, and 5 RBI’s in the series win over Sumrall.
- Kayden Peoples (West Lauderdale) Went 7 for 12 with a double and 7 RBI’s in a 3 game series win over Newton County.
CLASS 3A TOP PERFORMERS
- Kolby Stringer (West Marion) Threw a 7 inning no hitter with 14 strikeouts in a a Game 1 win over Seminary.
- JD Harvey (Seminary) The Mississippi Gulf Coast CC recruit 5 for 10 with a home run, triple, and 8 RBI’s in the series win over West Marion.
- Jomarrion Flowers (Seminary) Went 5 for 8 with a double and 6 runs scored in a series win over West Marion.
- Carson Hicks (Mooreville) Threw a 5 inning no hitter with 2 strikeouts in a Game 1 win over East Webster.
- Wyatt McDaniels (Mooreville) Went 4 for 6 with a home run and 6 RBI’s in a series win over East Webster.
CLASS 2A TOP PERFORMERS
- Landon Harmon (East Union) The Mississippi State recruit threw 7 innings, allowing 1 hit, 0 runs, with 16 strikeouts in a Game 1 win over Hamilton.
- Luke Elder (East Union) Threw 7 innings, allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, with 2 strikeouts in a Game 2 win over Hamilton.
- Luke Williams (Clarkdale) Threw 7 innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, with 11 strikeouts in a Game 1 win over Pisgah.
- Cade Culpepper and Jake Lee (Clarkdale) Both pitched well in a Game 2 win over Pisgah. Culpepper (4 INN, 2 hits, 1 unearned run, 10 K’s) and Lee (3 hitless innings with a strikeout).
- Eli Swearinger (Clarkdale) Went 3 for 6 with a double and 3 RBI’s in the series sweep over Pisgah.
CLASS 1A TOP PERFORMERS
- Jon Grey Morrisson (West Union) Threw 6 innings, allowing 6 hits, 1 run, with 6 strikeouts in a Game 3 win over Myrtle. He also went 4 for 11 with a home run and 3 RBI’s in the series win,
- Grant Martin (West Union) Went 7 for 12 with a double in a series win over Myrtle.
- Noah Westbrook (Taylorsville) Threw 7 innings, allowing 2 hits, 0 earned runs, with 8 strikeouts in a Game 3 win over Sacred Heart.
- Trey Barnes (Taylorsville) The Southern Miss recruit went 4 for 9 with 2 doubles in a series win over Sacred Heart.
- Caden Bester (Taylorsville) Went 4 for 9 with a double in the Tartars series win over Sacred Heart.
- Terry Barnes (Taylorsville) Went 5 for 10 with a double in the series win over Sacred Heart.
