Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.
Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.
This week's Hitter of the Week is '25 OF Kainoa Santiago (Jesuit).

Santiago wins Hitter of the Week in week 10 of Oregon HS action after a great multi-game showing. The Jesuit outfielder finished 6/9 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, reaching base at over a .700 clip. The Gonzaga commit also had 4 RBI scored 5 runs in his stellar offensive performance. Santiago was recently named the Metro League 6A Player of the Year and will be a key contributor in Jesuit's playoff run. |
