Uncommitted Spotlight: Bam Fenter
May 26, 2025
The high school season has come to a close, and players are now shifting their focus to the summer schedule. The 2025 preseason showcase circuit in Idaho kicked off in February with the Idaho Falls Preseason ID, featuring 30+ prospects. We followed that up with the Boise Preseason ID, which also brought out 30+ players and offered another strong look at some of the top talent from across the state.
Our staff has had eyes on over 60 players over the past couple of months, and with the summer circuit getting underway, there is still a deep pool of quality uncommitted talent in the state Idaho. Over the next few weeks, our team will begin rolling out our Uncommitted Spotlight Feature—highlighting players who need to be on college coaches’ radar as summer ball heats up.
We continue our Top Uncommitted Spotlight Series with ’26 RHP/3B Bam Fenter from Coeur D'Alene High School. On the mound, Fenter shows a solid mix. The fastball has good life, sitting at 87 and touching 89mph at a recent event. He pairs it with a sharp slider that he locates well, along with a changeup that kills spin and has late depth—especially effective against left-handed hitters. He also mixes in a curveball and a sinker, giving him a full arsenal that keeps hitters off balance and guessing. Mechanically, he’s smooth and in control. The arm action is clean, and everything works in sync—efficient, repeatable, and projectable. That same feel carries over to the box, where he hits from a balanced stance and whips the barrel through the zone with intent. Fenter is a guy that coaches should watch very closely as he is already a top uncommitted prospect in Idaho, and will keep getting better as he adds more muscle to his 6'2" 185lbs frame. This article will take a deeper dive into some of Fenter's TrackMan metrics, VALD Performance Data, scouting reports, and videos.
