Class of 2026: Rankings Update 5/25

As the high school season wraps up and summer ball gets underway, we’ve released our second update of the year to the Arizona Class of 2026 Player Rankings, featuring some key movement within the Top 100. Strong spring performances have shifted the landscape, as players continue to elevate their profiles and solidify their standing among the state’s top prospects. With the summer circuit fast approaching, this update lays the groundwork for what promises to be a crucial stretch in the recruiting journey for this talented class of rising seniors.

As always, our evaluation process remains fluid and ongoing, built on multiple looks and continuous conversations to get the most accurate read on each player’s skillset. It’s important to note that while some players may climb the rankings quickly, it doesn’t mean others are trending down development is a long-term process with natural highs and lows. As we move through the year, new names will continue to emerge, widening the field of top prospects in Arizona. Our scouting staff, both locally and across the country, remain in close contact, constantly exchanging notes and adjusting rankings to reflect the most up to date information available.

THE TOP-10 IN THE CLASS OF 2026 ⭐

Ryan Harwood OF / RHP / Casteel, AZ / 2026

The Texas A&M commit retains the top spot in Arizona’s 2026 class and continues to back it up with loud tools and even louder production. Ryan was a key piece in Casteel’s state title run this spring, delivering in big moments while showing why he’s one of the most complete outfield prospects in the region. A physical 6 ’3, 215 pound frame paired with elite bat speed from the left side gives him serious juice at the plate, where he consistently registers high-end exit velocities. With a growing track record, athleticism, and continued refinement in his approach, Harwood is shaping up to be one of the most exciting names to follow in the country heading into a pivotal summer.

 

 

Alain Gómez Gudino C / 3B / Saguaro, AZ / 2026

The South Carolina commit is one of the most polished and complete backstops in the country, and it’s no surprise he lands in the No. 2 spot in Arizona’s loaded 2026 class. A switch-hitter with advanced feel from both sides, Alain has shown the ability to produce loud contact with a 101.7 mph max exit velocity while staying within a disciplined approach. Defensively, he’s as refined as they come, posting elite pop times (1.74–1.90) with carry and accuracy on throws to second. His strong hands, quick transfer, and vocal leadership give him the makings of a high-level field general. Add in his maturity and presence behind the plate, and it’s easy to see why Gomez is garnering early draft interest. With his complete skillset and continued progression, Gomez is set to anchor the catching conversation on a national scale for years to come.

 

 

Tait Reynolds OF / SS / Queen Creek, AZ / 2026

A high-level dual sport athlete committed to Clemson, Tait brings an explosive blend of physicality and athleticism that makes him one of the most dynamic players in the class. The 6 '4, 200 pound outfielder boasts elite strength with advanced bat speed and the ability to consistently impact the baseball. His power plays to all fields, and he profiles as a true middle-of-the-order threat. A standout QB on the football field, Reynolds carries that athleticism to centerfield, where he shows off natural instincts and above average arm strength. The ceiling continues to rise as he refines his baseball skillset, and the in game power production is already turning heads. With big tools and even bigger upside, Reynolds has the makings of a premier national prospect.

 

 

Abram Sherrin SS / RHP / Liberty, AZ / 2026

One of the most polished two-way players in Arizona’s 2026 class, Abram continues to impress with a mature presence and high-level feel for the game. A true competitor, he brings value on both sides of the ball, consistently delivering quality at-bats in the heart of Liberty’s lineup while also leading the charge on the mound. At the plate, Sherrin features a confident and balanced approach with the ability to drive the ball to all fields, showing quick hands and a compact stroke. On the bump, the right-hander gets up 93, and mixes in a full arsenal that includes a sharp 77–81 slider, 72–75 curveball, and a fading 79–81 changeup. The command, poise, and pitchability stand out, making him a true dual threat and a foundational piece for Liberty. His all around game and advanced instincts make him a strong follow as he heads to UC Santa Barbara.

 

 

Jet Berry SS / 2B / Queen Creek, AZ / 2026

One of the most dynamic middle infielders in Arizona’s 2026 class, Jet brings a high energy, high impact game every time he steps on the field. The Oregon commit features fast twitch actions on both sides of the ball, with a compact and direct swing path that allows him to consistently find barrels and drive the ball to all fields. A + runner (6.5 60-yard dash), Berry’s athleticism plays both on the basepaths and defensively, where he shows smooth footwork, confident hands, and advanced body control up the middle. Offensively, he sets the tone from the leadoff spot with a disciplined approach, quick trigger, and emerging power. With a competitive edge and gamer mentality, Berry continues to rise within the state’s 2026 ranks as one of the top up the middle prospects in the region.

 

 

Zander Bratspis SS / Saguaro, AZ / 2026

Zander embodies the blue collar, high IQ profile that makes for a future impact player. The Kansas State commit brings a fundamentally sound game on both sides of the ball, with fluid, natural actions at shortstop and a consistent presence at the plate. His instincts and internal clock on defense allow him to cover ground with ease, while soft hands and clean footwork translate to high-level defensive reliability. At the plate, Bratspis shows a compact, efficient swing with a linedrive approach that works gap to gap. His offensive profile is built on contact, patience, and a mature understanding of the zone, making him an ideal top of the order bat. His consistent production, competitive edge, and strong work ethic make him one of the most dependable and projectable middle infielders in the class.

 

 

Jackson Weber SS / C / Horizon, AZ / 2026

Jackson Weber is a dynamic shortstop known for his quick feet, smooth rhythm, and excellent timing in the infield. His fluid defensive actions and strong hands allow him to make consistent plays with ease, showcasing a natural feel for positioning and anticipation. While he can catch, his primary impact comes from his advanced skills up the middle. Offensively, Weber drives the ball with authority, posting a 100.6 mph exit velocity and a .375 batting average as a junior. His combination of defensive polish and offensive power makes him a top prospect in Arizona’s 2026 class. 

 

 

Devin Long RHP / OF / Chaparral High School, AZ / 2026

Devin stands out as the top arm in Arizona’s 2026 class, combining present stuff with significant long-term upside. At 6 '2 with a lean, athletic frame, there’s plenty of physical projection remaining, and his loose, fluid operation on the mound suggests more velocity is on the way. The fastball already touches 94 with late sink, showing the type of movement profile that generates consistent ground balls and swings and misses.

What separates Long is how well his delivery translates into future growth with clean arm action, advanced tempo, and body control all point to a high ceiling as a starter. His slider flashes sharp lateral action and his changeup mirrors fastball intent, giving him a complete arsenal that projects to stick in a rotation. With his blend of athleticism, mound presence, and developing pitchability, Long profiles as a potential frontline arm at the next level with pro upside.

 

 

Jaxen Maxey OF / RHP / Valley Christian, AZ / 2026

Jaxen is a standout in the outfield with a polished, well rounded game and physical projection at 6 '2. The Arizona State commit brings a smooth, efficient right-handed swing with a calm, mature presence in the box. He consistently barrels balls with a linedrive approach, showing situational awareness and a repeatable swing that translates in game. There's sneaky strength that will continue to develop, giving him future offensive impact. Defensively, Maxey shows fluid strides and strong reads in centerfield. His feel for the position and athleticism suggest he’ll stick in center long term. Maxey has the tools, instincts, and projection to grow into a premium defender with an impact bat at the next level.

 

 

Benjamin Ball OF / SS / Hamilton , AZ / 2026

Ball is a strong, physical 6 foot, 215 pound outfielder with explosive athletic traits and a high energy motor. He stands out immediately for his strength and presence in the box, where he shows fast hands and a compact stroke capable of producing loud contact. There’s real power potential here, and with refinement to his hand positioning and overall sequencing, Ball could grow into a consistent offensive threat with middle of the order impact. Defensively, he profiles as a corner outfielder with a strong arm and reliable accuracy, showing carry on throws and the ability to track well. With his advanced strength, raw tools, and competitive edge, Ball brings big time upside as he continues to sharpen the finer points of his game.
