Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.
Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.
This week's Pitcher of the Week is '26 LHP August Ware (Glencoe).

Ware, a 6'5 lefty and the 6th ranked player in the Oregon 2026 class, spun a gem last week, going 7 innings of hitless ball on the mound. The junior struck out a remarkable 18 batters, walking 2 while not allowing a run. The Portland commit was most recently seen at PNW State Games last summer. |
