25 KSHSAA Player of the Week: Week 8
May 21, 2025
Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Prep Baseball KS Player of the Week. We will rely on submissions from high school coaches and others by way of email ([email protected]) or DM on X (twitter). Nominations should include player name, grad year, position, and stat line. The Kansas High School Player of the Week will be released every Tuesday after noon. This week had the most nominations we have ever received with some of the most impressive numbers we have ever seen, making the selection a difficult process. We will cover all players nominated for player of the week in our Diamond Notes article that comes out on Wednesday's.
Thank you to each high school coach who submitted a nomination for this week's awards.
Let's take a look at the Player of the Week for Week 8 (March 12th-March 17th):

Beau Peterson 3B / RHP / Mill Valley, KS / 2026For the first time ever, we have a back-to-back player of the week. After an eye-popping offensive week, Peterson followed it up last week with a perfect game on the mound punching out 11 against a tough 6A opponent. For good measure, the left-handed hitting Texas commit also had three hits in six ABs with a triple, three walks, three runs, and an RBI. |
