Tanner Post LHP / ILLIANA CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL, IN / 2026From (5/9/25) - Conner Madding + I caught Post’s third start of the spring vs Westview on a Saturday afternoon and I really liked what I saw. Post put on noticeable strength in the off-season and he now stands 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. He pitched at 86-89 mph his entire seven innings of work and even reached 89 into the fifth inning - the fastball played with carry. The southpaw showed three solid off-speed offeries, the best being a 78-80 mph changeup with late fading action that he showed a lot of confidence in. He also showed a tight slider at 77-79 mph and a curveball with slightly more depth at 75-77 mph. Post was confident in landing both early in counts to both righties and lefties. The delivery is repeatable, he lifts to an athletic inward turn with a simple move down the slope. The arm works with quickness to an over-the-top slot on the backside. In total, I liked the potential starters mix and the ability to hold velocity for the entirety of his outing. |

Cayden Stockbridge RHP / Penn High School, IN / 2026From (4/15/25) - Cooper Trinkle + Stockbridge provided an excellent start for Penn, beating Carmel and coming one out away from a complete game. Stockbridge still earned the win, going (6.2) innings with (4) walks, (3) earned runs, (3) hits, and striking out (9) against a top-20 ranked foe. The projectable, 6-foot-2, 190 pounder pitched at 87-91 T 92 throughout the start, working mostly 88-90, and holding 87-90 into the 4th. I like the slider development best and it has turned into at least an above average offering that plays with swing-and-miss sweep at 78-81. He shows a bigger version of the pitch at 74-75, more of a land pitch, and his best OS offering in this look was an 82-83 change that played with fade, and he used to R/R and versus LHH. Stockbridge uses a more-methodical paced lift as he gets to a tall, inward turn, and then uncoils with a small uphill shoulder tilt and dynamic balance throughout. The arm is clean and there is easier intent shown. Walking away, the projectability still left and starters' profile are what I value most here. He has made steady gains over 3-plus years and more jumps are likely... |

Jeremy Lowrey RHP / Harrison (West Lafayette), IN / 2026From (3/18/25) - Cooper Trinkle Frame: Young look with projection to the 6-foot-3, 190 pound frame. Delivery/Arm Action: Slower pace to a tall, even balance point. Subtle sink as he controls his move down the mound with well-timed, later intent. Recoil finish. Shorter arm path with looseness as on-time arm flips up in-sync. Stuff: Fastball played at 91-92 touching 93 with higher intent. 6'5" extension plays the fastball velocity even higher. Played catch using easy intent with secondaries, changeup shows plus upside with heavy armside fade at 80-81. Shorter, two-plane curveball spun in the 2100 range mostly. Shows above average control. Summation: Lowrey is another Future Games alum that exploded at this event with much-higher velocities than we saw from him in Atlanta last summer. He has added weight to his late-blooming, projectable frame that has paid dividends. There is real starters' upside with a solid track record of strikes & his above average control of three pitches should only elevate with maturity, as well. He used more intent than normal in this 'pen, especially with the fastball, normal given the nature of the event. Regardless, I expect Lowrey to hold 88-92 in game while he pitches with above average secondaries. RC's should be booking trips to Lafayette this spring before its too late... |

Ian Taylor OF / Guerin Catholic , IN / 2026From (3/18/25) - Cooper Trinkle + Profile: Stocky, compact, R/R, 5-foot-10, 185 pounder w strength and twitch. 6.94 runner in the 60-yard dash with a 90 mph OF arm to pair. Likely fits best in RF at the next level but has upside in CF. Some of the best force-plate measures of the event with 29-plus standing vertical. Force production is evident in the box. Present plus bat speed in controlled-but-violent rotational right-handed swing. Exit reached over 105 mph for present above average raw power and chances of plus to be developed. Fast barrel works w above average feel. Actions - Offense: Sets up in wide, grounded stance and uses a hovering leg lift stride to pair with an active hand load. Looks to do damage w dangerous intent. More-level path leads to present gap-to-gap power with flashes of it shown to the pull-side. Rotates down. Defense: Aggressive athlete w quick, twitchy arm. Summation: Taylor is coming off an injury-plagued sophomore season and reintroduced himself with a bang with standout force production data. Point blank, Taylor is ultra-twitchy and uses the ground to his advantage to create the aforementioned present plus bat speed. His barrel is in the way of the baseball for a long time with the ability to make hard contact to all fields prevelant. It is more of a strength over speed type athlete, but he is an above average runner underway. Taylor is a savvy, hard-nosed, throwback type kid that has a real chance to impact the game at the next level with his abilities at the plate. |

Kaden Maxwell LHP / 1B / Andrean, IN / 2026From (3/18/25) - Cooper Trinkle + Maxwell was a huge winner from our Fall State Games in October and came back even better in this look. He used below-moderate effort while pitching with a balanced, in-line delivery. The arm action is short but he keeps the ball moving to produce an 86-88 T89 mph fastball that played with carry (17" IVB). He shows feel to manipulate shape w spin, showing a sharper, 73-74 mph sweeper & also a big, two-plane shaped, mid-60s curveball. The slider is the better of the two breaking balls, but the curveball tunnels best with the heater, it just needs to firm up at this point. The 75-76 changeup is a usable pitch and rounds out a solid 4-pitch mix. Maxwell continues to polish & is one of the top uncommitted lefties left within this uber-talented 2026 class. |

Kobe Cherry RHP / Center Grove, IN / 2026From (3/18/25) - Cooper Trinkle + Cherry is newly-released from injury and our look at him at the Preseason All-State came shortly after getting back on the mound after knee surgery. Cherry is a powerful, 6-foot-5, 270 pound righty armed with an 89-92 mph fastball that likely climbs even further as he gets back to full strength. He spun a slurvey-shaped, 78-80 mph breaking ball that spun in the 23-2400 range to tunnel off of the fastball, while also showing a low-to-mid 80s straight change. The delivery was a bit out of sync in this look, to be expected with him throwing so close to his release date, but the arm works in the same long, explosive, full arm action we saw previously. |

Blake Cope OF / 1B / Covenant Christian, IN / 2026From (3/18/25) - Cooper Trinkle + Profile: 6-foot-1, 205 pounder w a leaner-more athletic look that I've seen of him in the past. Burned a 6.56 60-yard dash while reaching 100-plus exits to allow for power/speed LH profile. Creates present plus bat speed (79 mph avg). 87 mph arm from the OF. Likely still profiles to a Corner OF spot, though run time elevating open CF possibilities, & is a serviceable 1B. Actions - Offense: Starts tall before a subtle sink into heavier forward move. Rigidness to the upper body in the load, holds angles as he works out. Front foot hitter at times. Turns the barrel with present bat speed and fast hands on more upward path. Present strength from middle of the field to pullside foul pole. Summation: Cope continues to develop as a freakish athlete while polishing up his baseball skills in total. The 6.56 60-time is super intriguing considering the mass that he has to carry in order to do so. He creates a ton of ground force that shows up in advanced batted ball metrics and bat speed. The left-handed bat and versatile defensive profile also works in his favor with a LH run-producers' profile standing out most. |

Trey Deckman SS / RHP / Columbia City High School, IN / 2026From (4/25/25) - Cooper Trinkle Deckman is one of the more projectable uncommitted prospects I've seen this spring with an athletic, lean, 6-foot-3, 170 pound frame that has plenty of room to continue to evolve. He is high-waisted as can be and got the start at short in this look - showing athletic actions with plenty of arm strength across. Offensively, he sets up in a tall, athletic stance and hits from balance at heel-strike with a handsy, level swing. There is some hints of impact offensively that more strength will likely bring out. He brought a super interesting look to the bump to finish this game, sitting 85-87 and touching 88 with an athletic, natural delivery. He showed a low-70s breaking ball that is in the development stages - but I walk away bullish with projecting what he could be on the mound based upon the arm action, athleticism, and frame. |

Reed Robinson C / OF / New Prairie, IN / 2026From - (3/18/25) - Cooper Trinkle Profile: Stocky, 5-foot-10, 195 pound C/OF, S/R. Bat is the best tool and can do it from both side with bat strength evident in triple digit exits. Present abv avg bat speed (75 mph avg) pairs with a tick above averge run tool (6.94). Shows abv avg arm strength from the crouch (81 mph). Actions - Offense: (LH) - sets up in a slightly crouched, athletic stance before a hovering stride and repeatable load happen. Turns the barrel on-plane with g2g strength and flashes present pull-side power. Similiar swing from the RH side, though less aggressive. Defense: Average receiver, arm has continued to develop working quick, high-motor. Summation: Robinson is a middle of the order bat and that tool leads a bat-first profile. The switch-hitting ability is real and he creates bat speed from both sides with strength and accuracy. He is a solid-enough runner to allow that tool to be impactful offensively, as well. There is some defensive versatility with a chance to stick behind the dish, but if you need a run-producers' bat in this class, you should see Robinson this spring/summer. |

Troy Barrett LHP / Chesterton Senior High School, IN / 2026From (5/9/25) - Conner Madding + I loved my look at the southpaw in a conference matchup with LaPorte. Barrett is one of the most consistent strike-throwers in the state at 5-foot-9, 160 pounds and he poured in strikes with multiple pitches in this look. The fastball sat 85-87 the first two innings and he settled in at 83-85 the next 4.2 innings – it played with carry and flashed arm-side run at times. My favorite pitch was the 76-78 mph changeup, thrown with fastball arm-speed and dropping off the table late. He was comfortable throwing it in most counts. Barrett also showed feel to land his 74-77 mph breaking ball for strikes and induce swing-and-miss when needed – the pitch showed 2/8 shape. The delivery is balanced throughout, he lifts to a taller balance point before an athletic move down the slope with in-line shoulders present. The arm works clean on the backside to a ¾ slot. I love the pitch-ability with Barrett, he’s confident to throw any pitch in pretty much any count and the velocity is starting to tick. |
