North Dakota State Tournament: Players To Watch

GRAND FORKS/FARGO, ND - The 2025 NDHSAA Class A and B tournaments will kick off this weekend at Kraft Field in Grand Forks for Class A, and Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo for Class B. Committed talent and uncommitted DUDES will be showing out this upcoming weekend, here is our list of players to watch in the North Dakota High School State Tournament.

Kellan Burke C / OF / Minot, ND / 2025Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 1
Kellan Burke has been at the leadoff spot for the Magicians lineup all year long. The Cloud County CC commit has put up ludicrous numbers this year with a slash line of: .553/.676/1.013. On top of that Burke has 10 triples, 3 homers and has driven in 27 runs. Expect Kellan to continue this at Kraft Field this weekend.

Trey Husar LHP / OF / Northern Cass, ND / 2025Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 1
The Future SDSU Jackrabbit has 59 strikeouts this year in 30 innings pitched. Husar is also hitting .526 at the plate, driving in 20 runs. The standout from Northern Cass will be a force to be reckoned with at Newman Outdoor.

Hudsen Sheldon SS / RHP / Mandan, ND / 2025Rankings StateRank: 17 / POS: 1
Sheldon has impressed college coaches on the gridiorn as well as the baseball field during his prep career in Mandan. Sheldon ran his fastball up to 85 as a sophomore at our Fall ID - Bismarck. The furure Marauder has been a staple on the mound for the Braves, along with leading the offense batting .455. |

The sophomore from Fargo South shot up on our radar this spring at the North Dakota Preseason ID. Nelson's fastball tops out in the low 90s, paird with a banger of a slider in the upper 70s.

The athletic Junior from Davies has made his presence known all season long. In the leadoff spot at the plate.Kosidowski is alson coming off a complete game shutout to give Davies the number 1 seed out of the east. has the ability to impact the game in every aspect. |

Cason Borchardt OF / LHP / Horace, ND / 2027The number 1 ranked player in the Dakotas c/o 2027 hits out of the 3 hole for the Hawks, along with being a staple out of their rotation. Projectable on both sides of the ball.

Through 7 starts this year, Tooke has sported a 5-0 record with 64Ks. The Sophomore from west of the river has showen of gamer potential this spring season. |

Hudson Dinger RHP / 1B / WEST FARGO SHEYENNE HIGH SCHOOL, ND / 2026Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 5
Dinger put up some big time metrics over the years at our Prep Baseball Showcases. Mid to upper 80s on the bump, paired with upper 90s exit velos, the Sheyenne product has showed to ability to produce numbers, while still having a high ceiling. |
