Quick Hits: 2025 Lake Charles Summer ID
May 30, 2025
Moss Bluff, LA - On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the Prep Baseball Louisiana staff traveled to the Sam Houston High School, to host our first event of the summer, which featured over 30 prospects from the 2026-2028 classes. Each participant went through a pro-style workout that consisted of running a laser-timed 60 yard dash using Vald Performance, defensive evaluations, and batting practice using Trackman Baseball and Blast Motion. Pitchers finished the day off by throwing a bullpen with Trackman Baseball to receive all of their data and metrics. Below, we take a look at some of the top performers from Tuesday's event.

Kingston Adams C / 3B / Loyola College Prep, LA / 2028Rankings StateRank: 18 / POS: 4
Athletic 6-0, 170 lbs. frame with a strong lower-half. A two-time former Jr. Future Gamer, Adams had a big freshman season for the Flyers and it was easy to see why on Tuesday. He started the day off by posting a 6.92 laser-timed 60, which was nearly a half-second improvement from the Jr. Future Games last summer. His round of batting practice was impressive too, as he was consistently on the barrel producing hard contact from gap-to-gap with an event-best average exit velocity of 92.2 mph and max exit velocity of 98.6 mph.

Gage Guidry RHP / SS / Vinton, LA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 107 / POS: 25
Athletic and lean 5-11, 161 lbs. frame with plenty of room to add strength. He had one of the better bullpens at Tuesday's event after another strong spring for the Lions. An athletic mover down the slope with a repeatable delivery, Guidry uses a compact arm stroke to release the ball from a 3/4 slot. He did a nice job of locating his 83-87 mph fastball to both sides of the plate and kept the ball down in the zone. Guidry also showed good feel to land a 68-71 mph curveball from strikes, as well as a late-fading 78-80 mph changeup. He also was able to kill spin with a 77-79 mph splitter.

Leo Heng LHP / Airline, LA / 2026The 6-0, 160 lbs. uncommitted senior southpaw was one of the more intriguing arms from Tuesday's event at Sam Houston High School. Heng worked exclusively from the stretch off the third base side of the rubber, and used a longer arm swing to release the ball from a lower slot. His fastball sat in the 82-84 mph range with classic left-handed arm side run averaging 17.5" horizontal movement. He paired that with a developing 72-75 mph slider and showed excellent feel for a late-fading 75-76 mph changeup that averaged 21.5" horizontal movement.

Konner Boudreaux 3B / 1B / St. Louis Catholic, LA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 121 / POS: 8
Physical 6-2, 210 lbs. frame. The St. Louis Catholic product had a solid overall showing on Tuesday to kick-off his summer. Boudreaux profiles as a corner infielder and showed quality actions on the infield with an accurate arm across the diamond up to 81 mph. At the plate, he starts in a wider base with weight pre-loaded into his back hip before taking a simple load and stride to get to center. He uses a strong lower-half to rotate the barrel to contact which produced hard contact up the middle and to the pull-side with a max exit velocity of 95.2 mph and an average exit velocity of 89.3 mph.
