With the high school season officially in the books, attention now shifts to the start of the summer circuit across the state. Over the course of the spring, our staff was out in full force, with eyes on hundreds of prospects as we traveled from game to game, covering standout performances and uncovering emerging talent.

Now, as summer gets underway, we’ll begin spotlighting top uncommitted prospects who made a strong impression during the high school season and are poised to carry that momentum into the summer.

We begin our Top Uncommitted Spotlight Series with a look at '27 C/1B Max Germaine of Mountan View HS. As a sophomore, Germaine turned heads with a strong season and impressive showings at our events. Germaine posted a .342 batting average on the year, mixing in a couple of home runs along the way. He plays solid defense behind the plate, where he’s recorded an eye-catching 1.97-second pop time. With a balanced skill set and advanced tools for his age, Germaine is definitely a name for college coaches to keep on their radar as the summer season heats up. In this article, we’ll take a deeper dive into Germaine’s TrackMan metrics, VALD performance data, scouting reports, and video highlights.

Max continues to rise as a follow in the '27 class. Flashes quick hands, tall posture, and emerging strength in the box. Behind the dish he is athletic and has quick feet/hands during throwdowns. Displays signs of leadership and growth in the catcher role. Possibly could see him transition to OF in the future.
