With the spring season nearing its conclusion, a vital summer for many uncommitted prospects around the state is about to begin. As we enter an important period of recruiting, our staff will highlight the top five uncommitted prospects in the state for each position group. Logan Studer C / OF / St. Louis University, MO / 2026

Studer has logged a lot of innings behind the dish for SLUH, and although he's shuffled around between spots at the top of the batting order, has produced consistently throughout the season.

Brant Colvin C / 3B / Knob Noster, MO / 2026

Colvin didn't get any action this spring, but will be an interesting prospect to watch heading into a big summer season.

Hunter Fryman C / SS / Marshfield, MO / 2026

Fryman actually spent the bulk of the season in either of the two middle infield spots, but was had a solid season production wise in the top half of the Marshfield lineup.

Christian McNew C / 1B / Cape Central, MO / 2026

McNew split time this season between catcher, first base, and DH and put up solid numbers in the middle of the Cape Central lineup.

Bryce Dobbs C / 3B / Poplar Bluff, MO / 2026

Dobbs carved out a role as the starting catcher for Poplar Bluff, as well as a big bat in the middle of the batting order for the Mules.
