Florida 2026 Rankings: Post-Spring Update

+ RHP Denton Lord (South Walton, Florida) came into this spring 20 lbs stronger, and it showed. The Florida recruit stands 6'8", 220 lbs, and made a velo jump up to 97 mph. Slider showed flashes this spring while he mixed in some cutters as well. Lord jumps into the top 10 this update, landing at #8.

+ SS Brandon Lorenzo (Mater Academy) has a build that fits the shortstop position. At 6'2" 165 lbs, Lorenzo is an above-average defender with rangy and quick-twitch athleticism. Lorenzo will be able to stick at short at the next level as the hit tool continues to progress.

+ LHP/1B Tyler Ellis (Trinity Christian Academy) is a two-way player with a real chance to do both at the next level. 6'0", 193 lbs, fastball has been up to 93 this spring with life. Hammer of a breaking ball that is a true swing and miss pitch. Offensively, he is a LHH first baseman with pull-side and gap-to-gap power. Solid defender at first base.

+ OF Jon Mora (Somerset Academy) had a massive spring season at the plate, hitting .522 with 12 extra base hits and 15 RBI. The 5'10" 170 lb Miami recruit is an above-average runner, swiping 32 bags this spring. Mora's speed and barrel awareness make him a game-changer on both sides of the field.

+ OF Nico Sabatino (St. Thomas Aquinas) is a projectable LHH center fielder. Athletic build at 6'0", 180 lbs, that will continue to fill out. Sabatino's power potential jumped this spring as he hit eight homers in the regular season and a big one in the State Semifinal. .432 average with 31 RBI, Sabatino was a key factor in St. Thomas Aquinas' Title run and committed to Florida shortly after the tournament.
