The spring season is all but over across the state of Maryland, as our staff was out in full force at games throughout the spring. In this rankings edition, we reveal the top 75 players in the class of 2026. Some shakeup in the top 10 with plenty of movement throughout, including 30 risers inside the top 75. See writeups on five key risers below, as well as the full top 10.

Leo Antwerpen LHP / 1B / McDonogh School, MD / 2026

Jumping inside the top ten for the first time since 2023, the physical 6-foot-1, 190-pound southpaw was one of the more dominating arms in the class throughout the spring, leading McDonogh to a MIAA “B” Conference title. A slower build-up in the delivery with controlled intent, Antwerpen works with quick, yet controlled arm speed through release and shows consistent feel for the three-pitch mix. The fastball got up to 90 this spring, living in the mid to upper 80s consistently with the ability to get swing and miss in the zone at a high rate. The slider is the difference maker, showcasing the ability to work it in on right-handed hitters while also backdooring it with feel to the arm side on occasion. When thrown against lefties, it was almost unhittable throughout the spring with late depth and tight, shorter shape. The changeup is still developing, yet the ability to be thrown against both right-handers and left-handers showed intrigue throughout. This is an arm with still more velo left in the tank and the physical makeup should intrigue plenty of college coaches as the summer months quickly approach.

Bo White RHP / Landon School, MD / 2026

The big 6-foot-5, 230-pound Future Games alum took over the “ace” role for Landon this spring and showed his immense value consistently. Worked 43+ innings this spring on the bump, striking out 53 to only 14 walks. Filling up the zone and showcasing feel for the FB/CB in any count for strikes intrigued our staff, and the ability to miss barrels while competing in the zone bodes well for success at the next level. The fastball works in the upper 80s, grabbing an 89 in our look in early April with still more left in the tank. The curveball showed some depth in the low 70s and is certainly effective when down in the zone and tunnelled off the fastball. A third pitch is quickly on the horizon, as White has played with a killed spin forkball that has plenty of late life and dive action down. As the frame cleans up and the velo continues to tick north, look for this summer to be the breakout for the big right-hander.

Matt Strahan OF / SS / Col. Zadok Magruder High, MD / 2026

Possessing a really nice mix of speed, high contact rate and power, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound versatile outfielder showcased one of the more intriguing hit tools that our staff witnessed this spring. Quick hands, whippy barrel action with some twitch, Strahan consistently sprays line drives to both gaps with some sneaky thump in the barrel that can be turned at a quick rate for some added pull side power. Rhythm in the body and the ability to manipulate the barrel at the dish should bode for even more success as the frame continues to mature. Possessing an above average run tool with versatility defensively, this is a can’t miss uncommitted prospect the watch as the summer rolls on.

Hunter Reed C / OF / Brunswick, MD / 2026

The physical 6-foot-2, 210-pound right-hander transferred into the defending state champion Brunswick this spring and made his presence felt early and often in the middle of the lineup. Reed batted over .400 with five home runs and 25 RBI, while also showcasing versatility defensively and an eye-opening, advanced run tool for the size. It’s a relaxed setup at the dish, working through a rhythmic leg kick load with quick hands and above average bat speed through the zone. The approach is what stood out to our staff this spring, spraying line drives to the gaps with the ability to backspin to both alleys on a consistent basis. Reed certainly passes the eye-test, and as the awareness for the barrel and the unlocking of some untapped power comes to fruition, look for Reed to start to make some waves across the recruiting world in the coming months.

Tyce McConnaughey OF / RHP / Clear Spring , MD / 2026

We didn’t get a ton of looks at McConnaughey this spring, but when we did, our staff was blown away with the sheer athleticism and quick twitch actions portrayed on both sides of the ball. Possessing a head-turning 6-foot-3, 190-pound frame, McConnaughey can go and get it with the best of them in the outfield with advanced arm strength and a high baseball IQ that impacts on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the profile is most likely to stay at the top of the lineup, where the high contact, line drive tendencies, plus the speed factor can play at the most advantage. It’s a calm presence at the plate with explosive actions through contact, showcasing strength to the middle and pull side with still untapped power potential left. Plenty of twitch in the hands, McConnaughey has already turned some heads and should continue to make an impact through the recruiting world this summer.
