Unsigned Upperclass Spotlight: Jesse Inouye
June 3, 2025
The high school season is coming to a close as players now shift their focus to the summer circuit. The 2025 preseason showcase schedule featured the first-ever Hawaii Preseason Invitational—an eight-team tournament to kick off the year that saw all positional players run through a pro-style workout alongside our tech partners, while we also collected updated TrackMan pitching data on all arms during gameplay.
Our staff had eyes on over 100 players, and with the summer just around the corner, there is still a ton of quality uncommitted talent available in Hawaii’s upperclassman group. Over the next couple of weeks, our staff will begin highlighting some of these names who need to be on the radar of college coaches as the summer gets underway.
We continue our Top Uncommitted Upperclass Spotlight Series with 2026 2B/SS Jesse Inouye, a 2026 2B/SS out of Hawaii and a Future Games participant. He shows clean, fluid actions in the infield with natural range and feel for the position. His athleticism translates on both sides of the ball, and he recorded a 6.95 60-yard dash. As he continues to add strength, his overall game is expected to take another step forward. Inouye remains a strong follow heading into his senior year.

Scouting Report
Jesse Inouye, Waiakea (HI), 2026
Positional Profile: 2B/SS One of my favorite Hawaii players, fun-to-watch 2026 who can do a little bit of everything w/+energy, +makeup & goes all out in every facet of game, solid DI recruit
Body: 5-5, 136-pounds. Compact build, good overall strength for age, ath look
Hit: RHH. Strong base, good set-up, hands at ear, rocks back to load, quick bat, compact/short/direct swing, takes a big-man's hack w/pretty one-handed finish
Power: More pop than looks now w/plenty of room for added strength, see more as a 2B's/gap pwr guy but could hit for some pwr in end w/current aggressive swing & approach
Arm: RH. INF-77 mph. OF-80 mph. Strong arm for age, good arm action & lets it go, not afraid to cut it loose, should end up with plenty of arm for left side, may end up above-avg for 2B
Defense: High-energy in field, bounce in step, good jumps/reads & range, chance to stay at SS but 2B may be best position, outside shot at C if arm improves for super UTL value
Run: Low runner, strong stride, runs hard, run still shot at improving w/strength gains & speed training
