Antonio Torres
Arizona Director

The Prep Baseball ProCase West brought together some of the top 2026 and 2027 draft prospects from Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah for a high-level evaluation setting at Pepperdine University. With a full pro-style workout followed by live gameplay, players were tested across every facet of their game using the same technology and structure used by MLB organizations including TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Vizual Edge. This event also served as a final identifier for the inaugural Prep Baseball All-American Game, giving participants a platform to separate themselves among the nation’s best.

Arizona was well represented, with several of the state’s top-ranked prospects turning in standout performances against high-end competition. These are players who are already on the radar of college recruiters and pro scouts and many will continue to rise on draft boards over the next two years. Below, we break down the top showings from Arizona standouts who took full advantage of the stage at ProCase West.

Ryan Harwood OF / Casteel, AZ / 2026

The top-ranked player in Arizona’s 2026 class showed why he’s earned that spot. Harwood put together one of the loudest overall showings at ProCase West, flashing elite bat speed and strength from the left side with a 104 mph max exit velocity and 399-foot peak distance. At 6'2 218 lbs, he moves exceptionally well, turning in a 6.69 60 and reaching 94 mph from the outfield. The Texas A&M commit added a pair of hits in gameplay, including a loud double to close out the day. Harwood continues to cement himself as a high-level draft follow with impact tools across the board.

Alain Gómez Gudino C / Saguaro, AZ / 2026

Alain continues to solidify himself as the top catcher in Arizona’s 2026 class. The 6'0 220 lbs switch-hitter brought thunder from both sides of the plate, posting a 99 mph max exit velocity with consistent barrels and a 371-foot batted ball. Behind the dish, he was sharp with pop times as low as 1.83 and an 80 mph arm, while leading his staff with confidence and edge. Alain’s presence, physicality, and game control make him a high-level backstop with real draft potential.

Robert Villa III SS / Centennial, AZ / 2027

Bobby continues to emerge as one of the top young prospects in the state. The 5'9 175 lbs switch-hitter showed advanced feel on both sides of the ball, taking mature at-bats and making smooth plays in the infield with an 80 mph arm. He posted one of the top 60 times at 6.39 and squared balls up with a 98 mph max exit velocity and 354-foot batted ball. Robert plays with energy, quickness, and developing strength that make him an exciting follow in the 2027 class.

Dreson Ethier SS / Brophy Prep, AZ / 2027

Dre continues to trend up thanks to his lean frame, athleticism, and well-rounded toolset. At 6'1 155 lbs, he ran a 6.60 60 and showed natural feel on the dirt with clean footwork and a 79 mph arm across. At the plate, he stayed simple and efficient, producing a 90 mph max exit velocity and 340-foot peak distance. Dreson has the frame and skillset to make significant gains as he adds strength, and his projection is easy to buy into.

Lincoln Demmons C  / Basha, AZ / 2027

Lincoln impressed as one of the top underclassmen at the event. The 6'0 189 lbs catcher showed mature strength at the plate, producing a 102 mph max exit velocity and averaging 91.7 mph with a 354-foot max distance. Behind the plate, he was sound with 81 mph arm strength and accurate throws in the 2.01 to 2.07 range. Lincoln’s strong lower half, game feel, and projectable power give him a high ceiling at a premium position.

Jet Berry SS / Queen Creek, AZ / 2026

Jet put together one of the more complete showings in the infield group. The 5'10 167 lbs switch-hitter was fluid from both sides, driving the ball with a 98 mph max exit velocity and 346-foot peak. He turned in a 6.56 60 and showed his athleticism on the move with an 87 mph arm across the diamond. Jet took mature swings in gameplay and played with tempo and confidence on defense, checking a lot of boxes heading into a big summer.

Zander Bratspis SS / Saguaro, AZ / 2026

Zander brought his usual polish and high IQ to Malibu, showing well on both sides of the ball. The 5'9 169 lbs shortstop made every routine play with a calm glove and steady internal clock, while handling the bat with authority during BP. He posted a 96 mph max exit velocity and drove a ball 373 feet, then added a 6.74 60 and sharp baserunning in gameplay. Zander’s instincts and all-around feel continue to separate him as a reliable middle infielder with sneaky strength.
