2025 Prep Baseball Tennessee Player of the Year: Blake Lundy

TENNESSEE - There were several candidates worthy of taking home the Prep Baseball Tennessee Player of the Year award, and choosing the winner this spring was a tall task in itsself. The 2025 spring season in Tennessee was loaded from Memphis all the way to Knoxville with elite, high-level talent. Our staff at Prep Baseball Tennessee was forced to make a decision amongst several worthy candidates. After an outstanding sophomore campaign, Blake Lundy of Baylor School has been named the Prep Baseball Tennessee Player of the Year.
2025 PREP BASEBALL TENNESSEE PLAYER OF THE YEAR 🏆
Blake Lundy’s 2025 season at Baylor School propelled the Red Raiders to a 22‑8 record and a district championship and has been nothing short of spectacular, earning him the prestigious Prep Baseball Tennessee Player of the Year honor. The standout sophomore catcher/first baseman led the state with an astonishing 15 home runs, added 61 RBIs, and maintained a blistering .446 batting average. His on-base percentage of .535 and slugging of 1.022 combined to a jaw-dropping 1.557 OPS, an elite mark at any level. Lundy, who is one of the top backstops in Tennessee, has showcased pop times in the 1.73-1.75 range and shown catcher velocities up to 86 mph.
