Arm Talent on Display

Plenty of arm talent was on display at the Florida Top Prospect Games, both on the mound and during the defensive workout. On the mound, 2026 Brady Snow kicked off the live bullpen session and impressed. The UCF commit and 2024 Future Gamer ran his fastball up to 95.2 mph, a jump from last summer. His slider was causing issues for hitters as well, spinning it up to 2882 rpm. In session two, 2027 Alex Wise ran his fastball up to 92.2 for the second hardest velo of the day, while 2027 Jett Walters was up to 89.7 for third on the day. Nine total arms on the day were 85+, including 2028 Thearn Treasure, who impressed up to 85.2 and got some swing and miss.

On the defensive side, arm strength was a staple. During the outfield workout, 13 players were 85+ led by Jett Walters (94), Kevin Prieto (92), Erick Robles (92), and James Dono (91). The infielders had 10 players who were 85+ led by Jeter Farina and Alex Wise who got up to 92 mph. Behind the plate three catchers were 80+ on their throws, Connor Balazic (84), Jacob Henderson (81), and Clayton Gerrell (80).

Power Bats

Balls were flying off the bat in the cages at the Courthouse Performance Center as 41 players registered a max exit velocity of 90+ mph. Out of that 41, 13 players were 95+, and five players were 100+. Leading the charge was 2026 Matthew Logan who hit 102.7 off the bat. Behind him were Jude Flint (101.9), Jett Walters (101.5), Max Boyer (100.5), and Seamus Moylan (100.4). Walters led the event with a 97.1 mph average exit velocity.

Blast Leaders

Blast numbers were impressive at the Top Prospect Games. 2027's Merrick Campbell and Connor Balazic led the event in average bat speed, both peaking 77 mph. 19 total players had an average bat speed above 70 mph. Jett Walters and Max Boyer were right behind Campbell and Balazic at just over 76 mph. Six players peaked 20 G's of average Rotational Acceleration, led by Jett Walters (25.7) and Alex Wise (25.0). Max Boyer (24.5), Dante Caridi (24.0), Evan Swope (22.2), and Preston Ricchini (20.5) all average over 20 G's of Rotational Acceleration.
